I have nothing negative to say about the Silver Motel. Well other than some man with a flash light ripping branch’s down at 3:30 am. Ten or so years ago this building was ready to be condemned and torn down. Looks like the new owners put a lot of work into it. It looks great. Well I’m not to happy about the electrical. Many codes do not meet minimum standard. But I probably see these faults more than others because that’s my trade. Other than that it’s close to places like Erieau, Rondeau, the Blenheim golf course is right across the street. It’s quiet for the most part humble and quaint. Very modestly price, clean and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend! Oh also a the hot and cold are backwards in the shower in unit 7.

I have gone to to this motel for years. The price was reasonable , the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the owner was very friendly. The motel has changed hands not long before COVID. This year my visit was very different. My room was clean. That is all you can say about it. It was crammed with 2 big beds, you could hardly move. There was no table or chair. No where to put your bags. There is a fridge on the floor and a microwave oven on a low shelf. Where are you supposed to eat? On the bed? The prices went up considerably. The bathroom window is held open with a stick. The other window doesn’t have a screen. Too bad, it used to be such a nice place.
