Pool and hot tub are very old and need a major renovation. Pool was very cold.
Rooms were ok. Ice room was also very run down and needs renovation. Elevators are slow and need to be updated.
Overall.... For the price, it's an old hotel and is due for renovation.

Best location in Sun Peaks, the pool facing the ski hill was a plus. Very family oriented, we felt welcome.

It's always a peaceful and wonderful stay at the Grand. The staff was so accommodating when we arrived early and allowed us to get settled into our sun peaks getaway. Highly recommend!

We had a really nice time staying here, great location, great staff, and would have rated it excellent but 2 of the lifts were not functioning for a couple of days with one of them not functioning the whole time we were there.

I had a great long-weekend stay at the Sun Peaks Grand for my skiing trip. The staff and service is excellent, and the location can't be beat. The amenities and the location of the hotel really maximizes your skiing experience: the ski storage, the proximity to the rental and service shop, and being steps away from almost everything you need at the resort really makes this the best trip we've ever had. My only complaint is that the resort seems quite dated. The water pressure in the shower is rather low, and at one point only one of the elevators is working, holding people up for really long time. The sleep quality was great though, and the staff and the convenience of the facilities more than makes up for the shortcomings.

The Grand Hotel, is a pleasant hotel, and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub area the most for the views. The staff was very nice, and helpful, but the view from my room was meager at best, for the amount I paid I couldn’t be farther from the elevator. I also chose this hotel for the gym facilities, but was disappointed that a couple of the cardio equipment had out of order on them, and the water dispenser was empty, and there were no towels provided. I had to go back all the way to my room to use my room towels.

Such a relaxing place to spend a ski vacation. So wonderful to just wake up in the morning, put your boots on, grab your skis from the ski valet, and ski down to the chair for first tracks.
At the end of your ski day nothing beats the outdoor pools at the Grand.
Downside is rooms are quite small and pricey. And they ding you $25/night for parking to add insult to injury. Overall the Grand does seem to be getting a little rough around the edges as it ages.
