Gather wood for the fire pit to ensure that perfect s'mores or hot dog while enjoying your favorite beverage. You can cook a gourmet dinner using our restored 1920's gas range, gas grill, commercial refrigerator, cutting block and all necessary utensils. Play some tunes while you cook using our bluetooth light speaker. After dinner, set up the projector for a family feel good or a romantic comedy (hotspot needed to stream). Before dozing off you can stargaze by looking through the bubble dome at the end of your sleep pod. Newly finished in 2025, brand new and hand built 400 sq/ft cabin in the woods with two huge 6ft x 6ft windows looking out into the woods. This cabin is a labor of love - 90% of the wood used in the build was milled on site. The wood is as local as it gets, harvested from trees directly on the property. Located on 10 acres with several small ponds, you'll have direct access to 1.5 miles of private trails to hike or bike through a varied woodland terrain. Relax on the covered patio, or explore the area. Just 2 minutes to Cloudland Canyon State Park, 30 minutes to Chattanooga, 25 minutes to Rock City. In an effort to help unplug there is no Wifi, but there is a selection of DVDs, books, and games. Cell service is good and the cabin is accessed from a short (150ft) dirt driveway, and a 250 ft lighted walking trail from the parking area. Cabin amenities include an induction cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, and full size refrigerator as well as full size laundry. The cabin is private but you may be visited by our free ranging chickens, curious cat “Claire” or some of the many deer. Also, our family of 4 (two young children) live in the main house (250 ft away). Access and parking are separate. I'm a true fan of the outdoors and am well-versed in local hiking and biking trail information.
