This is such a lovely place, the perfect location on Dartmoor, friendly helpful staff and amazing good quality food. This is the second time we have stayed at the Globe, and we certainly will be returning as soon as we have the opportunity. We have no hesitation in recommending friends and family to stay here.

We had lunch at The Globe on a very busy Saturday yet the service and quality of food was excellent. The staff, from the barman come waiter to the chef who served our food were friendly and welcoming. We felt like old and valued clients instead of the first time customers we were. We also noticed that they have live music regularly both in the bar area and in their functions room. Highly recommended.

We stayed at The Globe Inn for an overnight stay on our way to Cornwall. The welcome was very friendly, the room was spacious with great views across to the church, and the bed was extremely comfortable. And to top it all, the food was delicious! Definitely recommend staying here.

Omg !! Best pub meal ever ! The food was sublime ! I had lamb and my husband had fish pie unusually the fish pie was in pastry but such a treat! the flavours and presentation were second to none ! What ever they are paying the chef it is not enough ! Bread and butter pudding for dessert ! Again amazing ! Thoroughly recommend this restaurant! Lovely service and comfortable surroundings!

The film night about Dartmoor was rubbish and a complete waste of time/money.Mr Warpole waffled for over a hour before his 3 minute film,The talk from Tich was not to bad.No mention of guest Miss Peggy Harris at show that deserved a mention.Did not stay for final phase of the evening and would not attend again.

The building is lovely, and the Wild Rose room very nice, BUT ... the mattress on the bed was so worn out on one side, it was impossible to get a reasonable night's sleep. The free street parking was OK. The breakfast was good. We would go back, but ask for a different room.

We had such a lovely time! The staff were so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The bed was very very comfortable - we were in Honeysuckle. The food was absolutely amazing. The place was quirky and funny, comfortable and homely. It was very clean. The decor in the dining room was a bit odd but we found it funny (father christmas being a highlight!) and the time taken to decorate the table for my birthday was a lovely touch. The garden area could do with some TLC - we went to a pub down the road to sit outside and enjoy their garden. The view from the Honeysuckle window could maybe do with some thought as well. But overall a really lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

Had Sunday lunch here. The setting has a lot of character, food excellent and service great. Very reasonably priced. Lovely town to look at for a stroll after and a trip to fernworthy reservoir is very recommended being only a few miles away if you want some exercise

Mary & Graham run and exceptional establishment. The hotel decor is truly beautiful and the food and ambience are superb. Located in the charming village of Chagford, with its excellent variety of shops and a hardware store that has regular customers travelling from Bristol to shop, it also has a friendly atmosphere. Surrounded by the beautiful Devon countryside, once you have stayed at the Globe the whole experience will have you coming vack time and time again, if our enjoyment is anything to go by.
