Acclaim Pine Grove Holiday Park

Our problems there start since the first minute, we’ve got there 2pm on Saturday the office suppose to be open but not! We called the number and the manager answer with no kindness at all! He said a message in my phone to access the box, there is no message so he came outside and said can you come and check what’s wrong, it was their mistake none sent a message. We settle in our site, everything really old nothing like the images here or any other searching. Day 3 we left our site 10 am and we come back 3pm our caravan was damaged inside and outside, we call the manager and the only thing he did was gave us a incident report to filling up and call the police,he also said it is our own risk to the let the caravan there he can’t do anything. he close the office and let us there without any assistance, no even help to fix some parts to us spend the night, we need a ladder we try to call him and he didn’t answer. The caravan park has no surveillance our site was close to the office someone was drifting with the cord stuck for while it probably make a lot of noise (it is marks on the grass) and the noise of the structure breaking as well but no one saw it, no one went there check the noise.

This caravan park is old and in need of a lot of upgrades, especially the amenities block. The sites are quite uneven and hard to get your van level to run the fridge. This park would be a last resort place to stay as there are better parks around the area.

The toilets when flushed smell like raw sewage as it uses groundwater it is disgusting. Although the town was lovely the caravan park was run down and basically a dump. They told us that the pool was being renovated however no one was there working on it and it wasn’t under construction or anything so we believe that they take no pride in the maintenance of their park. My family and i agreed that if we ever come back to esperance we should never ever come back to this dump they call a caravan park.

We were looking for a place to stay on a long weekend. Due to a lot of people in Esperance for the horse race we had to end up taking our tent. The showers were nice and hot and toilets clean. The park was close to town and not far from Lucky Bay a great place to visit.

Stayed in powered on-site site. Shower water ran out of door and drainage drain flooded onto grass area. Toilet didn't flush one morning. No light globes inside out side the ensuite. Floor on an angle. Owner very kindly tried to fix the problems but this ensuite needs demolishing. Another 2 guests arrived at 1.30am with a reversing beeper on the campervan that woke the camp. Then proceeded to turn the vehicle at 7am to change positions. Only advantage to caravan park was a great place to discover the Esperance area. Would suggest more maintenance on the property. Replace the ensuite we stayed in.

I've stayed here several times over the past few years and it's been OK but not great. However on this visit, there is now a new management team in place and I can see the improvements and increased maintenance activity. We had 2 cars, a caravan and a trailer but were slotted into a large site for the price of a single - which from experience isn't always the case. If you're looking for grass, a good shower and a no fuss stop over before heading out to the east, I 'd recommend this park as a good base for the Esperance region. I hope the new management team continues the general improvement and wish them well.
