Monastery Garden Bistro & Rooms

This was a delightful B&B hotel! Charming room and very clean and comfortable. Great location - it was easy to walk everywhere, but quiet being next to the monastery garden and off the main street. We visited the first week of December and the town was beautifully decorated for the holidays with a nice Christmas Market in the center of town - and no crowds! The owners at the Monastery Gardens were very welcoming and the breakfast was fabulous. We travelled as a family group and had 3 different rooms - just note that some rooms have a tub with hand held shower head rather than a full shower. This was my favorite hotel of our week visiting the Czech Republic because of its old world charm and comfort and friendliness.

Perfect location, just steps from the castle. The rooms were very cool (loved the sliding picture for the bathroom door) and super comfortable. I had some issues at checkout with the card system malfunctioning and unfortunately picked a bad day to stay (since the castle and restaurant were closed the next day), but these minor issues couldn't detract from a truly unique boutique hotel stay.

This place is amazing. Probably the nicest place to stay in Cesky Krumlov. It was renovated in 2019. Lovely attention to detail. Also little quirky details of the decor which are charming. The location could not be more perfect. It is very quiet, although noise from the stairs does carry into the rooms (there were some small kids who got up early and ran up and down the stairs and we heard every step and squeal). The proprietors are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. The bar is a perfect place for a nightcap. Note (to Americans). The bathrooms are very European. In our room, the toilet was its own private room and then there was a bathtub in the room with a handheld shower. It gets the job done, but not what we are used to.

My husband and I recently spent two nights in Cesky Krumlov. I decided to book Monastery Garden Bistro and Rooms after reading all of the glowing reviews of the place. I'm so glad I heeded the reviews, as I agree that the accolades are well earned. Although we had some confusion finding the right parking lot to be close to the property, once we checked in, we were able to get situated quickly. The staff at Monastery Garden were uniformly friendly, and we felt right at home. I especially liked the honesty bar, which was a nice touch after a day of sightseeing. We stayed in Room Six, which is a premium suite. It was marvelous! The bed was a king with a very comfortable mattress. That alone would have been enough for me to be really happy! The room was beautifully decorated, with chic designer touches and a really cool armoire that had a door opening into the huge bathroom with a clawfoot tub! The room also had two televisions. One was mounted on the wall by the huge sofa, and the other was hidden in a beautiful wooden cabinet. I think my favorite part of the stay was the two breakfasts we enjoyed. They were delicious, and yet almost too beautiful to eat. We stayed in four hotels on this trip, and Monastery Garden was the one that stood out for being a great place to get to know people. It really has a lovely homey atmosphere to go with the comfortable rooms. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone staying in Cesky Krumlov.

We really loved this small, boutique hotel. The room was gorgeous and all of the decor really quirky but tasteful. Breakfast was incredible, the host charming, and the location unbeatable. My favourite hotel of my European trip.

Lovely family and couple B&B, quite and cozy and warming common area 😘 Room is good for 5 people! Bath is perfect 👍 tea,coffee, sweets are perfect 🤩 easy walk into town center, close to mini market! The host is very friendly and nice! Must come back with my hubby!❤️
