Holiday Inn Express Jakarta Wahid Hasyim, an IHG Hotel

The location of this hotel is superb—right opposite Sarinah Mall, with Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia Mall just a 10-minute walk away. The nearest MRT station, Bundaran HI, is conveniently located opposite Plaza Indonesia, making it easy to get around the city. The room itself was clean and fairly large, providing a comfortable stay. However, due to its central location, the surrounding area can be quite lively at night, which might be uncomfortable for light sleepers. The towels provided were super fluffy and smelled great, though it would be even better if hand towels were included as well. The hairdryer in the bathroom was functional but not the best quality. There was no iron or ironing board in the room, but guests can use the laundry room, where washing and drying cost Rp75,000. You need to get coins from the reception, and detergent is provided. However, there is only one washer and one dryer, with a waiting time of 20 minutes and 50 minutes, respectively. Additionally, I noticed that staff also use the facility to wash and dry cleaning rags, which was a bit off-putting—separate facilities for staff would be more appropriate. The gym was decent but had a very gloomy atmosphere. The biggest downside was the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby and lifts, which was quite unpleasant. It would be great if the hotel could place air fresheners in common areas to improve the ambiance. Overall, a great choice for its location and room quality, but a few enhancements could make the stay even better.

The hotel is conveniently located near Tanah Abang, within walking distance if you're willing to walk. It's easy to get a "bajaj" right in front of the hotel, and booking a Grab to Plaza Indonesia or Grand Indonesia is also very convenient. McDonald's is within walking distance, making it handy for late-night snacks. Sarinah is just across the street, with plenty of food options available nearby. Although we booked the same type of room, one room turned out to be larger than the other. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast selection was limited but sufficient.

IHG hotel but won’t credit my points to my IHG account. The insulation of the room is very bad. They put us in a family room with a connect door, the other room has couple with kid and was sooooo noisy!!! Wont stay again here!
