The hotel could be lovely but the rooms seem very worn out. The cleanliness and maintenance was really not up to standard. Whilst the cleaners seem to do a good job with the basics there was mould and limescale behind the sinks and showers and along the floors in the bathrooms (because the showers have no screen) the bath had a rusty drain cover that was sharp where the chrome was peeling off so we couldn’t use the bath. There were dirty mugs in the cupboard and a cracked and chipped cup on the tray. The windows had algae growing on them and one was completely rotten so they put a wardrobe in front of it. Unfortunately this also blocked the door to one of the bathrooms. One toilet seat was completely yellow and another has a cistern that had a massive crack. The sofas were filthy and stained and one was broken and sunk when sat on. We had a three bedroom villa with 6 guests. The patio had one sun lounger and two wooden beds. One was broken and neither had cushions so we couldn’t sit outside The beach is very small and there weren’t enough umbrellas for everyone as they only had 4 for the entire hotel. The mismatched sun beds had dirty broken cushions. There are two small pools but the one near the beach is adult only so with children you have to cross the road or walk through reception to use the pool so there is no nipping between beach and pool easily so we didn’t use the pool at all The walk to the restaurant from the room was past the wheelie bins and every night there were Cockroaches on the paths. There is then a very steep set of stairs or several smaller sets of stairs to get to the restaurant. The hotel is built on a steep hillside and there are steep steps everywhere. Even the ground floor rooms have a staircase going down to the door. When we booked with specified with the agents and then directly with the hotel that we had someone with a wheelchair. The location is completely unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. We had to move after 2 days as we couldn’t get the person in a wheelchair out of the room. They even had to eat breakfast on the room as the restaurant is down a very steep set of stairs. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Tango and the reception area is beautiful. The staff did their very best to help with the wheelchair but they all agreed it’s not the right Location. They went out of their way to help us move. Overall it could be beautiful and the staff are really trying but it feels like it needs some investment to get the maintenance right. I think it would be lovely for younger adults but not families and not anyone with mobility concerns
