Met up with my sister for a meal and a chat in December. We hadn't booked but decided to wait at the bar until a table became available. We declined the outside section as it looked cold and empty (didn't check). Pint of Guinness (good one) and a merlot were not completed before we got shown to our table near the door (#43). My sister had soup and chips while I had the sirloin steak. Our meal was excellent and we were pleased with our choices. Clean toilets, excellent friendly and efficient staff. My only gripe was the table was a bit small and I was sitting in a draft (probably the door to the outside section?). Would I return? Absolutely yes only this time I will look for an alternative and bigger table.

Well this place has been recommended to me over the last few months to try due to the quality of food. It has been taken over by new owners. It was a family meal for my birthday but besides it being my birthday the staff from the minute you walked into reception guided you to the restaurant. A special mention to Linda who served our table mainly but to the bar staff and the other waiting staff. Has to be said 10/10 for service and quality food. Thank you

Recently we had a family function in the hotel and it was brilliant. Kevin and his Team were excellent and made sure we had everything we needed on the night and made everyone very welcome. The food was absolutely excellent and the function room decor was beautiful which created an unforgettable family experience. Breakfast next morning was lovely and the overall experience was 5 ⭐️ Would highly recommend the hotel for Food and Accommodation Thanks again Kevin and Team

Stayed here recently and really enjoyed it! The location right by the lake is beautiful and super relaxing. The food was seriously good, and the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect spot if you're looking for a chill getaway with great views and great service. Would definitely come back!

Let’s start with the positives. The Lakeside Manor does good coffee and that’s important.The food is good and I enjoyed in particular the seafood chowder and Indian curry and the staff also for helpful pleasant The main issue that I had when staying in the Lakeside manner was the decor Spread across many decades going right back to the 70s. This match of styles genres and decades almost give me a headache. There’s so much clutter to the point of it being unnecessary. Even in areas where attempts have been made to modernise their remains throwbacks to days gone by. The truth is the hotel really needs an interior decorator to pull it all together and one collective cohesive pallet. As it currently stands, it feels a little lost.. With that being said, due to the positives already mentioned and its location. Everything is doable. It just needs a point in the right direction.

Food was great, steak was fantastic, but the staff really made the evening. I can't remember the place I've been where the staff were so attentive, accommodating and friendly. They were really busy but still looked after us incredibly well

We had the most magical wedding here at The Lakeside Manor on 7th September. From the moment we began planning it with Farrell and Claire right up until the end, it all went so smoothly they took care of everything and put us at ease straight away, if we had any concerns Claire was always there to answer them. The food was so good and a big talking point with our guests along with excellent service from the team, Kevin, Linda, Ben & Sammy. The function room was perfect and of course the view of the lake is spectacular especially from the balcony. We would highly recommend The Lakeside Manor as a wedding venue or any other event or even just drink and dinner.

Great food and service Well worth a visit Kevin was on hand to help and Patricia who served us was very kind Try the roast lamb it was amazing Thank you for your hospitality We did a stroll around the harbour And in summer time we might bring the fishing rods next time

We had a great experience on the 7th Sept 24, the family & I did a day adventure, & came across the most amazing lake front hotel. From the moment we got there we were greeted with such amazing hospitality. The staff are incredible they made us feel like VIP's, & we hadn't book a room or anything! We will be visiting this wonderful gem again soon. My fellow Americans are gonna know about this place as well.
