Hotel in zona Eminaga Garden Center - Catalkoy, Catalkoy

Le prime impressioni dell’hotel erano grandi. La decorazione di Natale lo faceva sembrare favoloso. Il personale era molto amichevole e attento e non poteva fare abbastanza per noi, anche divertire il mio ragazzo. Eravamo molto felici di rimanere lì. Purtroppo, il nostro soggiorno è stato inciso da due feste notturne tardi (uno era all'Eve del Nuovo Anno così si prevedeva di essere tardi ma non andare oltre 1:00 come ci è stato detto che non sarebbe stato così). Non sembrava che gli ospiti che si trovavano all'hotel fossero considerati come la musica forte che suonava fino a mezzanotte, ma sembrava che la famiglia che gestiva l'azienda la trattasse come se fosse la loro casa e non un hotel con gli ospiti che pagavano. È stato una vergogna che questi incidenti abbiano dovuto sovrapporsi al nostro altrimenti grande soggiorno.

Ero stato per una giornata in questo hotel 3 anni fa consigliato da un altro albergatore per fruire della bella spiaggia e dell'acqua parco per mio figlio con un modestissimo bigietto d'ingresso (all'epoca mi sembra 5 euro). Ci aveva colpito la qualità della struttura, soprattutto del servizio l ristorante e così, visto che siamo tornati un0altra volta a Cipro Nord, abbiamo deciso di passarci una settimana. Booking e altri siti lo quotavano per la settimana in mezza pensione (colazione e cena) dai 1700 ai 2500 euro per settimana. Ho allora scritto alla struttura per trattare direttamente e ho ottenuto 1050 euro per 7 notti (140 euro al giorno in mezza pensione 2 adulti e 2 bambini!!!). Hanno preteso solo un anticipo di 50 euro con bonifico internazionale. La qualità dei servizi e della struttura è eccellente, il classico grande albergo ”di una volta”, con spazi comuni, bar, lobbies, spa, bagno turco etc., di altissimo. Il buffet colazione e cena è di buonissima qualità. I prezzi degli extra (bevande diverse dall'acqua ed eventuali spuntini) sono molto contenuti (30 lire turche per una birra, ovvero 1,50 euro; un whisky 70 lire turche, ovvero 3,50 euro). SPiaggia e piscina (enorme) sono stratosferiche e la gentilezza del personale è estrema. Lo consiglierei a chiunque.

Un grande posto per il raffreddore, buffet colazione, molta scelta. Di notte, molta scelta e abbondante. Ideale per gli amanti della natura con le colline vicine per camminare. Bus per la città è ideale per visitare Kyrenia. Alloggio spazioso, vista mare e montagne. Piscina, è brillante, quando aperto, chiuso al momento a causa della bassa stagione e manutenzione. Grande luogo per i viaggiatori familiari o soli.

We came to which family first time. we join to Aqua spinning and we really like it ‏ it was so good, and we enjoyed it. We would like to come again. The sports club is very amazing and very fun. We have recently returned from two weeks staying at Altinkaya. Altinkaya is somewhat of a conundrum as the grounds are beautifully maintained and it has a pleasant swimming pool. We stayed in the hotel on the first floor at the back of the building. The room was quiet and had a view of the mountains , although somewhat obscured by the tall trees that edge along the hotels boundary . The room was basic with a tiny fridge which was barely cold, the air conditioning worked well. There was a kettle and two mugs that had been hidden away in a cupboard , complimentary tea and coffee were not provided nor any drinking glasses, although upon asking the bar man happily gave us two wine glasses . Neither the glasses or mugs were replenished with fresh ones during our stay. The bathroom consisted of a narrow bath with an over the bath shower which was generally cold or luke warm. The cleaning and replacing of towels and bedding was very hit and miss and I had to ask for our bathroom to be cleaned properly after it not having been cleaned for several days. The pool was pleasant but unfortunately the mattresses on the loungers were grubby and some of the parasols filthy and appeared to be smeared with mud. The food in the restaurant was fresh but repetitive and basic. Staffing seemed thin on the ground but they were pleasant and happy to help. Information on trips and activities in the reception area is out of date , we asked about Horse riding and were told this had not resumed following covid , yet the poster remained during the entirety of our stay. The communal areas in the hotel looked very nice and we sat inside the bar ( which I think is used during the cooler months ) whilst there was a heavy storm one evening. The lounge area has a good library of books and there is a large new restaurant. In conclusion Altinkaya has the potential to be a great hotel it just needs some attention to detail.
