This B&B is exceptional in every way. Our room was so tastefully decorated with a really comfortable bed and lovely supportive pillows. The power shower was amazing. Breakfast offers a range of fresh fruits, yogurts and cereals and a selection of hot food to follow. The highlight for us though was the welcome and the friendliness we experienced from Sandra & Mary. These two ladies made our overnight stay the highlight of our week away in the area. We cannot say enough about this B&B. Treat yourself to a stay in Plougastel!!

We were both in heaven. Excellent location. Absolutely lovely stay! The full Irish breakfast was delicious. The hosts were delightful. Modern bathroom. Great water pressure in the shower. The spacious room was comfortable and homey! Slept like babies!

From the moment Sandra met me at the door and handed me my keys. I was in love! The bed was very comfortable, the room was immaculate, the view was beautiful and Sandra gave excellent directions to the town, recommendations on where to eat and where to listen to traditional music. There were several recommendations for things to do, directions on how to get there and breakfast each morning was fabulous! I will stay there again next time I go to Westport.

We stayed at the Plougastel for 7 nights in September 2023 and it was one of the most relaxing weeks I've had in ages. The location was perfect. Lovely room, spotlessly clean, with a terrific bed. Breakfast was a highlight, with the biggest portions of smoked salmon and scrambled egg I've ever had! Sandra is just brilliant. The whole experience was such a pleasure that we hope to return as soon as we can. Thank you so much.

Plougastel House absolutely exceeded all expectations. We stayed here for several nights while touring around the Westport area, and I highly recommend it. Spotlessly clean. It is an easy walk from the train station and to the town center, and the owner was very helpful in finding us a car tour at the very last minute. She also shared many fun stories about Westport and believe me, the breakfast keeps you going til midafternoon. I've been to a couple of b&b's that did not have owners on the site and it makes a huge difference if they are.

We stayed at a number of B&B’s during our visit to Ireland and I have to say that this was the best. The decor is stylish and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and the staff were so friendly and so helpful. When we visit Ireland again this B&B will be the first thing we book!

After a long trip in Ireland, we got to the house on Sunday night - I was in dire need of a good night’s rest and this B&B did not disappoint. Room was clean and tidy, bed was soft and comfortable and the house was quiet and everyone was so friendly. In the morning we had the Irish Breakfast and it was fabulous. Location is perfect as well. Wonderfully stay, five stars!

This is an awesome B&B. Great location. Our room was quiet and comfortable. We had a large bathroom with a great shower. The breakfast crew was very nice and fixed a delicious hot meal. It's an easy walk to the shopping area in Westport as well as restaurants and pubs.
