Lovely hotel and a great location for the New Theatre. Staff on the front desk were really helpful

I recently stayed at the Leonardo Hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the room was clean and well-presented, the noise levels were unbearable. Throughout the night, we were disturbed by the sounds of voices from the adjacent rooms and the floor above us was consistently creaking as guests moved around. When I mentioned these issues to the receptionist during checkout, I was disappointed by the lack of response or apology. Overall, this affected the quality of my stay significantly, and I do not intend to return. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Booked one night when I thought I was paying for 2. For the price I was paying, I was expecting much more. Hotel needs modernisation, very much out of date. Heater in the room doesn't work so it's still cold. Next to a loud street (but that's my problem, I should have known better). The photos on trip.com make it look much better than it actually is. I think this room is worth £50 a night max. I wouldn't consider paying more. Disappointing.

We stayed here for 3 nights, it was very pleasant and clean. Friendly faces and friendly service. The beds are very comfortable and absolutely huge! The only negative I would mention was the fact that on the first night, we were sat in the bar enjoying a drink and the barmaid came out and started to hoover, which obviously made us uncomfortable and was also quite loud, so we proceeded to take our drinks to our room to finish them. Which also meant we didn’t use the bar facility again for the rest of the stay, which was a shame.

Staff where friendly, my room was cold due the heater not working and you can hear loud creaking when the person above walks over the floorboards. Unlikely to get a good night sleep here. Hotel it pretty dated.

Great welcome at this hotel. Very clean and presentable. Bathroom a little tired, could do with an overhaul. Breakfast fabulous.

All fine but no knowledge of how to get hot water from sink. We finally found out in the end, just before check out, that you had to turn on shower but not told by reception. Fridge did not work. Told reception twice but nothing done about it so our milk went off! Bed comfy and room quiet Great location Expensive parking

Lovely hotel, spotless room, in a very central location. Great breakfast. Only negative was the 24hr parking @ £25/day

Good but old interior creaking floor boards

The hotel is right at the Cardiff Centre and 5 minutes walk from Queen Street Station. The services are good and staff are very friendly. A very decent restaurant as well, would stay here again if I ever come to visit Cardiff in the future.

Prime location, lovely layout and friendly staff. The room was well presented. However, the hotel food really let the experience down. Namely as there is a £6 add-on charge for room service which isn’t advertised clearly enough! Imagine my shock when I went to pay. The pizza was very average too. So in all £23 for a pizza that I probably could’ve made better myself. Insanity.

Good location! Close to town centre and train station.

Accessible-near city center. Clean and nice hotel.
