This is the perfect place to stay in the Huon Valley. A beautiful 1920s house with wonderful hosts. From the home baked bread, advice on places to eat out to making sure the wood fire was on for when we got back each day to thaw out our tropical bones Don and Leanne couldn't be better hosts. The bed was comfy and the view spectacular. Highly recommended.

It is not often that a B & B exceeds expectations and this was the case for us last weekend at Donalea. Not only are the hosts helpful and friendly but they also ensured that we had everything we needed. For breakfast there was home made bread and jam plus croissant and plenty of tea, essential for us Brits! The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom which was generous in size.

We stayed 3 nights in the two bedroom self contained apartment. It was very private and had all the amenities that makes your stay enjoyable. Don & Leanne were excellent hosts but did not intrude on our privacy. They added personal touches (like home made fruit cake on arrival) that were very much appreciated. The location provided an excellent base to explore all the treasures of the Huon Valley with a miriad of eating place options within a short driving distance. We would highly recommend Donalea for a couple with or without a couple of children.

What to say about this B&B. You have more than enough space, that's for sure. All though if you stay with four people the bathroom might be pretty small (we stayed in the appartment). View is nice, but not breathtaking. Isolation is poor, so you will defenitely hear traffic noise. Through the night it's mostly quiet. Furniute and decoration is old fashioned but ok. If you have a car it's an option for one or two nights, but don't expect something special. And know that wifi isn't great. One suggestion for the owners: you simply can't sell this as 'breakfast included' the way you do it now. So provide a proper brekkie or don't do it at all. And we found dirty glasses, so do check if everything is clean before new guests arrive.

This B&B is well located in the Huon Valley with a lovely outlook over the river. Leanne and Don are professionals, and know how to look after their guests. On arrival there is home made cake ready for you, and Leanne explains everything to you about the accommodation. The continental breakfast was very filling, and once again there were some home made treats. We needed to get some laundry done and Leanne was more than happy to assist. The accommodation is set in a great position overlooking the river, and in a great area to do day trips. A lovely spot run by lovely people.

Friendliest couple, magnificent gardens, amazing location, comfiest rooms and beds, most delicious, generous,continental breakfast, peaceful, thoughtfully equipped with wifi, dvds, etc. We so enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Only stayed one night on our trip around Tasmania. We stayed in the Waterview suite. The bed was comfortable and had a lovely big bathroom ensuite. Don and Leanne were very welcoming to us. My wife loved the cottage garden. There is a lovely sitting room with water views. Good place to relax after your drive. At breakfast the next morning my wife loved the mini croissants Leanne offered as part of the breakfast.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at this lovely b&b.don and leanne were lovely host. Breakfast was full of home made delights from fruit from there garden to home made fruit bread and jams .just to name a few of what awaits you for a great breakfast . finished off with great brewed coffee, .leanne even gave us blueberry muffins each morning to have for our morning tea. Our room w a s lovely with a very comfy bed and decorated in old world charm. Highly recommend this b&b . 10/10 for everything. thanks again Don and leanne

A 2 night stay with friends at this comfortable B&B hosted by Don & Leanne who have been operating the business for 21 years. Situated on the corner with lovely gardens and a great water view. Ideally situated to tour around the area. Charming rooms, lovely sitting room overlooking the water with a fireplace which our hosts ensure is ready when the temperature drops. The included breakfast was lovely and our hosts ensured that we were looked after. Good selection of cereals, homemade breads & preserves plus local fruits. Tea, coffee and juices. Very welcoming and good value in the area. Thank you Don & Leanne for ensuring our stay was enjoyed by us all.
