Pheasant Inn

Booked a two day break at The Pheasant and enjoyed the experience so much that we booked an extra night (wish it could have been more !). The hotel had all the old world charms of a coaching inn but brought up to date whilst still maintaining warmth, comfort and ambience. Food was outstanding - excellent choice (including gluten free options) and generous portions cooked to perfection. Wonderful staff - especial thanks to Heather, and Angie for help and advice; however all the staff deserve praise. We are now going to book another stay in December.

As part of a cycle tour we all arrived drenched. Heather and co were astonishingly helpful. My case was carried to my room, my wet stuff dried on their boiler. Beds were comfortable, food (especially porridge) excellent, served promptly. Absolutely top notch place to get rested and dry, ready for next days cycling

What a beautiful location with views across the fields, being in lambing season made it even more picturesque. well situated for exploring the local area either on foot or by car. We had a lovely two night, midweek stay at the Pheasant, lovely comfortable rooms, very good food and very friendly and helpful staff and at a very reasonable price. I hope we get the chance to go back, I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a break in the Yorkshire Dales

We recently stayed at the Pheasant for 2 nights and had a really relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable, with an excellent bathroom with bath and excellent walk in shower. Breakfast both mornings was fantastic as was the evening meal we ate on our first night. The only drawback was the bar where we ate (as we had our dog with us) was extremely quiet , so lacking in atmosphere. All staff were super helpful and friendly and we hope to come back soon.

We booked 2 rooms B&B , both were clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very good, staff friendly, evening restaurant was also good. The main criticism, was that the curtains in the room at the front of the inn did not have any blackout lining, as a result it was very bright at 6am, waking us up and unable to return to sleep. Overall good, I would return.

What an absolute pleasure to come across the pheasant inn. Lovely and polite staff the chef personally went out of his way to cook us all a breakfast as they wasn’t serving food at the time. would highly recommend for anyone who’s looking for nice morning/afternoon with some friendly locals top job guys 👍

just returned from a two night stay using a buy a gift voucher from my daughter. Lovely hotel - great staff - lovely room and delicious food. It is only four miles from the main town of Kirkby Lonsdale which was beautiful with lots of restuarants, pubs shops to browse about. will return

Only stayed one night but we packed a lot in. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The four poster bed and pillows are so comfy that I could’ve stayed there the whole time but the surrounding area has too much to offer if the weather is fine. The Inn is nicely laid out with a separate wood panelled dining room and here is where the best part of the stay happens. The food is utterly wonderful. The casserole and pie were exquisite and although we shouldn’t have squeezed a pudding in, we did. Gorgeous. Add to that, a wine and it was a perfect meal. Breakfast was also excellent and there was a good range of choices on offer from full English to mushrooms, spinach and poached eggs on toast. A return visit is being planned already.

Cosy traditional pub with log fires and wood panelling. I had the Sunday roast which was excellent and very good value. Try the crumble it was great. The staff were very warm and professional, especially Tom and Heather. All in all a lovely place for lunch or dinner, can only recommend!
