A beautiful establishment in a great setting, with a lovely pool, a fine breakfast, even though it has very steep steps for anyone with mobility issues the view is delightful. On the downside the steep steps walk down to the town takes 15 minutes, at night these steps are dark and treacherous. You also have to have a code to get in and out of the gated hill area that this place is based, if you are a large party this can be an issue. Unfortunately my whole experience here was marred by the downright bizarre rude treatment I personally received on the last day from Jean, the owner,. On check out day at 11am with the cleaning ladies outside happy to wait a few minutes for us and we with just about to exit- in marches Jean at 11.04 into the room in a Basil Fawlty manner, starts shouting French crazily at me a small 5ft, elderly lady 60 plus in a loud, uncontrolled manner, stabbing madly at this watch, gesticulating wildly- pointing at the kitchen in the room. This diatribe lasted 2 minutes then he struts outs out leaving me and my son flabbergasted. We left sharpish. Most places in France are relaxed, happy to accommodate guests for an extra few minutes, for a call of nature to use the bathroom facilities -as there is no outside toilets here at this establishment even though there is a gym, and a peton court!!. We as a total family of 5 spent several thousand Euros on this accommodation and did not expect this treatment as soon as you had taken our money. We overheard the owners have two explosive arguments whilst we were there maybe that caused this shoddy behaviour. No customer should receive this abuse I was deeply upset by this incident.
