Hotel in zona Museu da Vila, Cascais

The thing about ”boutique” hotels is they often have limited rooms with little consistancy between them. Often the hotel is a former mansion or castle that has been converted to create the accomodations. The rooms featured on the website often look amazing but many of the rooms are often former butler's pantries or attic rooms the crazy aunt lived in with alll her cats so you have to be careful when booking. This place has some of that. Had we ended up in a former little closet room in the corner, we would not have been happy here. Fortunately we had booked the designer room with a balcony facing the ocean (210) which was fantastic to enjoy the ocean views. We moved the long bench from in front of the bed onto the balcony during the day to use as a sun lounger. Room was smaller but had tall ceilings and nicely remodeled. Comfy bed and nice bathroom with shower with all kinds of water options plus toilets had heated bidet hose. It is important to know that the pool area is seasonal due to the close proximity to the ocean and doesnt open until mid-April. During much of year it is closed as the North Atlantic waves thrash over the pool area filling it with dirty sea water. The hotel should state this on their homepage to avoid guests feeling a bit misled. I attached some pictures showing the pool area we had without any lounges and water looking like a sewer discharge. The weather we had was sunny and hot yet couldn't use the pool so felt frustrated. I'm a daily lap swimmer so had been hoping to use the pool in the mornings for my swims. The view of the ocean with the crashing waves against the rocks made the stay very relaxing. Also it is a nice short walk to town with wonderful views along the way. Additionally it is a beautiful walk or run to the west along the rock cliffs by the ocean. Truly magical location. The hotel itself was lovely and ecclectic with fun art throughout. Hotel staff was very nice and the included a quality breakfast buffet was tasty and plentiful. We had to leave in the middle of the night for a very early flight out. The manager had take away lunches for us which was a nice touch. We booked the hotel in part because it was part of the AMEX Platinum Hotel collection which comes with some additional benefits if you have the card. We had been to Lisbon many times but so glad we discovered Cascais this time. Certainly will be back.

Cordiale con i clienti e con i colleghi, il che è stato bello vedere che ci torneremmo quando torneremo quest'anno per una piscina per battesimo, era bella e fredda, è come il clima del Regno Unito ma troppo freddo per una nuotata, ma sarebbe stato fantastico se fosse era un po' più caldo

Ottimo hotel. Ci siamo trasferiti per 3 notti, e ci piaceva. Hanno aggiornato la nostra stanza per vedere l'oceano, e la stanza era stupenda. Il personale era molto amichevole. La piscina e il bagno sono davvero buoni, ma non preoccuparti di prenotarli in anticipo, altrimenti potrebbe essere sovraccaricato, quindi non c'è nulla da preoccuparsi, perché tutto è ben organizzato. È a 2 minuti a piedi dalla stazione di stazione e a 30 mim a cascata .

Ho alloggiato due notti in questo hotel insieme al mio compagno poiché ci è stata regalata una smartbox ed era tra le poche strutture fruibili. L'hotel dista circa 30 minuti di macchina dall'aereoporto e di sera un tassista ci ha spillato ben 56 euro per arrivare in hotel!!! Per arrivare a Lisbona con mezzi ci vogliono circa 30 minuti e circa 15 minuti per arrivare a Cascais, la stazione di Carcavelos dista circa 1 km a piedi dall'hotel. La colazione è ottima e molto abbondante c'è di tutto e di più sia dolce che salato e frutta. L'hotel gode di una bella piscina è vicinissimo al mare, ci sono molti surfisti, il mare a mio avviso non è un gran che. La stanza aveva un bel balconcino con affaccio sulla piscina e sul mare, peccato che a terra nella stanza c'era la moquette che emanava un cattivo odore che è stata la cosa più sgradevole!!! Bagno, stanza, asciugamani e lenzuola puliti ma non proprio alla perfezione. In stanza fa molto caldo e non c'è un ministro, anche se all'arrivo vengono offerte delle bottigliette d'acqua. C'è un problema con le prese della corrente, anche per caricare i cellulari, poiché funzionano solo se si accende la luce. La sera, almeno in quel periodo, a Carcavelos non c'era nulla di che, giusto qualche ristorante per mangiare. Per chi vuole visitare Lisbona come me non lo trovo molto comodo, meglio scegliere un hotel in centro.

La piscina in questo hotel è incredibile! X4 tavoli da immersione! Buona caffè e ristorante. Ottima posizione non lontano da Lisbona ma ancora incredibilmente lontano! Ci siamo davvero goditi il nostro soggiorno e speriamo di tornare un giorno!
