Blue Apple Beach

Blue Apple 🍏 has been one of my favorite places since my first visit to Cartagena in November 2022. From the start, the staff has been absolutely incredible—every time I return, they remember me and my preferences, always going above and beyond to make me feel welcome. This was my first time back in a year, and I immediately noticed a few changes. There’s no longer a DJ playing fun beach vibes, and Yao, one of the servers and dancers, is no longer performing and interacting with guests as before—something that was a highlight of the Blue Apple experience. However, he now offers private dance lessons, which I highly recommend. It seems the resort is shifting toward a more relaxing, “bring a book and unwind” atmosphere, so if you’re looking for a party island, this may not be the spot. That said, Blue Apple remains one of my favorite resorts in Cartagena, offering a more intimate and personalized experience. If you have the chance, I also recommend staying overnight—it’s a whole experience in itself.

We loved our stay! Is the perfect place to stay and disconnect, recommend staying at least 1 night. Relaxing in front of the beach and pool. Staff was awesome, each of them went the extra mile to satisfy our need. Food was also great, there is a special dinner every night for hotel guests, you are surprised each night. Highly recommend for a couples getaway and watch a perfect sunset!

Caribbean soul on all spaces! We loved the beach club, the drinks and food, very well prepared and with a good cost x benefit. The sound of the waves was great to sleep and we loved the room, open garden shower and varanda! The beach was not blue waters but is very clean and natural

Feels like a honeymoon experiece and the service was for is the best in Colombia. Reception and Alehandra in the restaurant were exceptionel freindly and made is feel very welcome. Room was perfect, clean and price was low for the whole stay

This place is the perfect island getaway. The Mamon Bugalow I had was incredible. The perfect thatched hut (with luxury) I was expecting. The SCUBA diving will be hard to beat anywhere. The reefs go on for miles and the life in them is teeming. The Paradismo dive crew is top notch and can work with all skill levels. The property is immaculate and the staff is full of the nicest and friendliest I have ever met. Some I even call friends now. The food, WOW. never once did I receive something I didn't like. If you get a chance to meet the owner you are in luck. She is a fascinating woman with an incredible vision of Blue Apple. She is very proud to tell you the story and quick to say she didn't do it alone. It's very commendable of what she and her team are doing there. It's not just a beautiful day to spend the day or week but way more than that.

I spent 5 nights at Blue Apple for a yoga retreat and it was perfection. Great food, great vibe, great staff. The resort is fun and relaxed - not ritzy - and the staff is all locals, so you feel like you are in Columbia, not Florida or the modern resorts of islands like San Juan. They even have 2 dogs and a colony of friendly cats they look after, if you enjoy lounging by the pool or your cabana with a 4-legged friend. There's a boat to Cartegena a few times a day that for about $5US (port fee) you can spend time in the city easily. I would definitely go back.
