Hotel Boutique Casona del Porvenir

Perfect location.In the heart of the old city.The building is renovated with special care.It is very well decorated,has comfortable furniture and is high tech (even the wc).The breakfast is high quality,but could be more quantity.Majority of the staff don’t speak English.My room was a luxurious “prison”.No sunlight at all.I couldn’t understand if it was day on night.

My wife and loved this little hotel. Everything about it - from the decor, to the service was impeccable. We appreciated all the little details that were taken into account when designing this hotel and the rooms. It’s in a very busy area but the rooms are mostly sound proof. There’s major construction on the street in front of the hotel - which seems like it may go on for quite some time. It’s unsightly but you can’t hear it when in the room. We will 100% stay here again the next time we are in Cartagena.

We have just completed our 4 day stay at this hotel and we’ve had a wonderful time. Due to an early flight we arrived at the hotel at around 0945 and they did a great job to get a room ready for us by 1030. The ground floor restaurant, bar and outdoor sitting area were all nicely decorated and comfortable. There is a small pool on floor 3 and jacuzzis on floor 4. Our room was on floor 2 at the back of the hotel so we heard no noise from the street in front of the hotel where many restaurants and bars are situated. Our room had a super king bed which was really comfortable, mini bar and safe. It wasn’t huge but plenty big enough for our stay. The bathroom was similarly proportioned with a rain style shower. Breakfast was on the ground floor and was cooked to order - a good selection of different options were available. As it’s cooked to order it can take a while and unfortunately on our second day we had a boat trip and felt 30 mins was sufficient for breakfast before we left but it hadn’t been done before we had to leave (they did put in containers for us as we left). The hotel is in a perfect location in the walled city and we were really pleased we had decided to stay here rather than the more modern part of the city. All the bars and restaurants we visited were a maximum of 10 mins walk and most were less than 5. Ordered an Uber to get to the airport (10/15 mins drive) as we had a very early flight but didn’t want to risk finding a taxi (there were some available as it happened). Really enjoyed our stay.

This Boutique Hotel was a great place to stay. Starting with a wonderful staff, extremely kind and warm people. Located in the "Historical Center", offers incredible accommodations. I booked a Junior Suite and was a real high tech features surprise. Even though the street is full of people at night, the brand new noise proof rooms offers total comfort. Breakfast is included and I must a great one. So many great restaurants within three or 4 blocks around.

Muy buen hotel el personal es amable y las instalaciones son muy bonitas.. lo mejor de todo es la comida del restaurante con la estadía nos incluye el desayuno y es muuuy bueno y hacen una deliciosa limonada de coco y unas arepas rellenas de huevo deliciosas!

El día de hoy hicimos check-out y no podía esperar para escribir mi reseña. Es el hotel más espectacular, realmente las fotos no alcanzan a demostrar los espacios tan lindos que manejan. La habitación fue demasiado linda, cómoda, tecnológica y con amenities increíbles. También nos encantó la opción de poder aprovechar las instalaciones de su hotel hermano Casona del Colegio. El servicio no se queda para nada atrás, todo el personal fue demasiado atento, gentil y especial, nos hicieron sentir como en casa & en un lugar seguro. Desde la entrada con la presentación de la habitación y las bebidas de bienvenida, hasta el último momento con el check-out, tuvieron una atención al detalle fenomenal. Quisiera destacar la atención de René en el front desk, Yaneris y una de las personas que nos atendió al momento del desayuno todos los días. ¡Será nuestro lugar para ir cada vez que vayamos a Cartagena!
