Bogles is a few miles north of Hillsborough. It is served by number 10, and 11 bus. 10 goes directly to Hillsborough if you take the bus going south, for 3ECD per person. The Round House has three cottage rooms adjacent to the restaurant, for rent. The largest sits above the owners house and commands a fine view from the balcony. Plum is adjacent and Mango has two singles, and is closest to the sea. Rooms come with breakfast, but the restaurant only serves outsiders evening meals. Booking is advisable, food is amongst the top half dozen decent restaurants across the island. Good fresh food menus change frequently, and theme nights are popular Of the three cottages, and we stayed in Plum, a double with ensuite bathroom, toilet, small kitchen with gas hob and oven, sink and fridge, kettle toaster, plus a seating area on a veranda overlooking the garden and sea. Carriacou does not have the water Grenada benefits from high rainfall and mountains. So this means water is either from rain water collection and or desalinized water is bought in. The bed room, kitchen and balcony has ten three pin sockets, so no converters required for UK travellers. Air conditioning in the room plus netted windows in the bedroom, and a fan. Cleaner comes daily, but we would have preferred our own brush to be a bit more self sufficient. The gardens have a range of flowers and attract butterflies, black greckles, and hummingbirds, small green and blue lizards. Brown pelicans can been seen diving for fish. The paths through the woods often have goats grazing, and the odd cattle, but they are all well mannered and keep out of your way. Locals have pet dogs, most are lab crosses, small friendly dogs that sleep most of the time, again they do not bother anyone. Chickens also roam freely, in the neighbours gardens, as do many goats eating grass, but they are fenced off from Bogles gardens.
