Hotel a Carlton

"Ho avuto un soggiorno ragionevole a Carlton Lygon Lodge. Il più grande positivo è la posizione, che è molto difficile da battere. Dritto sulla strada Lygon (ma al fine, un po' più tranquillo) e solo a 10-min passeggiata a Brunswick/Fitzroy. L'alloggio stesso è buono, ma potrebbe essere meglio. La stanza si scioglie molto, per uno. La decorazione è anche molto datata. E era rumoroso tardi fino a fine settimana per il traffico (percio' dovevo usare i miei telefoni cellulari per dormire). Il prezzo è piuttosto ragionevole, ma il personale è amichevole e utile, quindi questo posto potrebbe essere una buona opzione se si vuole un grande luogo, pianificare di essere fuori per la maggior parte del tempo, e vuole risparmiare sui costi."

"Great location. Right in the heart of the city. If you like to walk it takes 15-20 minutes to get to everything in the city. Staff are very helpful and polite. Access to washing machine and dryer for 5 dollars. Also gym has decent cardio equipment and cable machine plus free weights. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Will definitely recommend."

"L'appartamento aveva un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo per una prenotazione last minute ed era pulito, spazioso e ben attrezzato. Sono arrivato dopo l'orario di chiusura e il check-in con il responsabile dell'edificio è stato semplice. La posizione è molto pratica. Ci tornerei sicuramente!"

"L'igiene è anche possibile, le strutture sono molto semplici e non molto nuove, equivalgono all'aspetto dell'hotel di Pechino Sala Esposizione.Se la stanza è prenota in tempo, la camera amministrativa di grande utilizzo RMB è più di 700, in realtà non è costosa.Un ristorante cinese all'esterno deve mangiare un pasto 80--100 RMB per uno. Sono rimasto sette giorni, invece, il prezzo della casa è alto.Non voglio fare il bagno, il rapporto prezzo qui è buono."

"A boutique hotel offering a delectable breakfast and a cozy wine bar at site. Great location nearby to a famous food street, lots of restaurants and cafes around. Highly recommend for someone who wishes to stay away from the crowded CBD yet remain closer to all the fun."

"We stayed in Room 1003 at Arrow on Swanston as a family of three—two adults and a child—for a short visit to Melbourne. The location was the strongest advantage, offering direct access to Swanston Street’s tram network and nearby restaurants and a short walk to our daughter’s student accommodation at Scape Swanston. The room itself was compact but functional, with a well-equipped kitchenette suitable for preparing simple meals. Although the space was limited, it was clean on arrival and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Housekeeping, however, was only scheduled once every four days, and we had to make repeated requests to have the room cleaned. Towels and toiletries were not replenished automatically and had to be collected in person from the reception. Elevator service was also a drawback—there are only two passenger lifts, which were often slow to arrive, and on multiple occasions, garbage bins were transported in the same lift as guests, making for an unpleasant experience. The sofa bed provided for our child was adequate for a short stay but may not be suitable for longer durations. Heating worked well, which was appreciated during colder evenings, and the kitchenette offered basic but useful amenities. Reception staff were generally polite and helpful when approached. That said, the room and some common areas appeared dated and would benefit from refurbishment. Overall, while the property felt slightly overpriced given the service and maintenance levels, it was convenient and met our basic needs for a short family stay."

"It was relatively affordable for a room with kitchenette, living room space, and two bedrooms (one shared shower) and it came with amenities like washer dryer and dishwasher, a fridge, kitchenette with utensils, water kettle, a microwave, a toaster and a functioning induction stove. We appreciated the space, the dining table and the balcony. The location was very good as we were very close to where we needed to be for work (a five minutes walk down Lygon St to Fringe Hub) and was very close to lots of food along Lygon St. We loved that there were so many cafes too where we could just go downstairs and get our morning fix. The rooms are not new feeling, but we did not mind at all as they were clean. The reception counter has specific opening hours so do check before arriving. The housekeeping staff were polite and nice to clean our rooms when we asked, though they only change the trash bags and the bedsheets."

"The Elgin Carlton Studios was small but perfect for a single or a couple for a few nights. Well located near to many restaurants with an enjoyable walk through parks to zoo precinct and easy tram return. Hot water wasn’t available but I’m sure the helpful team at the studios jumped onto that."
