I recently stayed at Owston Hall and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience due to the complete lack of knowledge from the staff. When I arrived, I was hoping to get some basic information about the hotel’s amenities and services, but every time I asked a question, I was met with blank stares or vague, unhelpful answers. For instance, I asked about the breakfast hours and whether I needed a reservation for the restaurant. The receptionist didn’t know and had to keep asking other staff members, only to come back with a guess. When I inquired about the hotel’s spa facilities, no one could provide clear details about pricing, availability, or even where it was located. I also asked about local attractions, and the receptionist didn’t seem familiar with any nearby points of interest, which I found incredibly surprising for a hotel in this area. It felt like the staff was completely untrained or uninformed about the hotel’s offerings. It's incredibly disappointing, especially when you expect a certain level of professionalism and knowledge from a hotel. It made my stay stressful and inconvenient, as I had to waste time figuring out things on my own. For the price I paid, I expected much better service and a more knowledgeable team. Unfortunately, this experience was a big let down, and I won’t be returning to Owston Hall.
