Mo & Rose at Soekershof

Beautiful guest house with the most spectacular gardens I have ever seen. The rooms are comfy and I like that they provide wall units and bug spray. Dinners and breakfast yum! We went to The Small Hotel in town for lunch and I preferred the space of Mo and Rose. Peter at reception was great and does everything for you and is very calm. I would say though it lacks having the owner onsite and seeing what touches can be added- like a glass of something for new years ( or even a sign / crackers or something !) . The towels were musty and even though put on floor not changed. The fridge was making a noise and when we turned it off it leaked onto carpet and stank up the whole unit. You could see many people have done this in the past … so maybe move the carpet ?

The perfect place to go for a getaway. Beautifully furnished accommodation, beautiful gardens and the food is absolutely amazing. The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to be of assistance. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Our stay at Mo&Rose was just perfect! Everyone was extremely friendly, the garden area was just beautiful and the rooms made with love, very nice designed, beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. For sure everything was clean and it was very quite (beside the singing of the birds in the garden) Thanks for the experience. We can definitely recommend to stay at Mo&Roses!

We were given a warm welcome and a spacious and comfortable room. The garden with cacti from all over the world was amazing, and the birds were obviously happy. Good choices for breakfast and excellent service all round. Worth a visit, and convenient for visiting the wine farms of the area.

My husband and I went with our 4 year old daughter. I can highly recommend this place. The food is AMAZING, the rooms are spacious and well equipped. The gardens are an amazing experience in themselves. They had no kids playground equipment, but my daughter had a fabulous time, regardless. She made friends with the sweet black and white cat and had great fun exploring the ample and interesting gardens. The only downfalls were that the water was brown cos of recent storms (this included tap and pool water). Also our lunch took around 3 hours from start to finish cos they had a bunch of staff who didn’t pitch on the 27th, so there was one poor sod servicing the whole kitchen. We weren’t fussed though, as it was a lazy day and we were enjoying the environment. The only recommendation I have to the establishment is to ask the cleaners to only start cleaning once visitors are checked out. It gave us the sense that they were trying to hurry us out, despite it still being pretty early.

Stay one night at the Mo & Rose for a wedding. Location from Cape Town is so easy. The facilities and rooms were superb. Clean and simple with a lot of attention to detail. Small things that made quite a difference. Personnel were friendly, competent and helpful. Receipt were great. I forgot my bathroom bag there - Heidi went the extra mile to deliver the bag personally. As I said - they go the extra mile. They really care. I will definitely stay there again.
