Duikersdrift Winelands Country Escape

My husband and I found Duikersdrift as we were looking for a new parkrun to do on our visit from the UK and wanted a nice relaxing place to stay for a couple of days. The photos on the website looked too good to be true but when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that it really is that beautiful. We were greeted at check-in by the lovely Howard who immediately made us feel at home. Everything has been so well thought out. We stayed in cottage 3 (of 4). It felt like the cottages had been cleverly and carefully placed to provide stunning views. Outside spaces with total privacy - even private paths to the pool where we also enjoyed lazing on the loungers, thoughtfully undercover. The layout of the cottage felt spacious but had everything you could need and more. Breakfast was delivered to the cottage so we could enjoy it on our private patio while boring each other with endless comments about the incredible view. We had the pleasure of meeting our excellent hosts, Justin and Kim, at the onsite parkrun on our first morning, so friendly and really made us feel welcome. It was a treat to bump into Justin over the couple of days a few more times and learn more about the estate. I believe the onsite restaurant, Daphne’s, is run as a separate business but it’s also excellent. We sat outside and had such a good experience and also enjoyed a post parkrun delicious coffee. We loved it so much that we returned the next night (which is something we never do!). The manager (I assume, sorry didn’t get his name) was so friendly and helpful, offering advice on where we could visit in the local area. We cannot wait to come back - although part of us wants to keep this hidden treasure a secret, we’ll be recommending Duikersdrift as a fantastic place to stay

Absolutely lovely in every way and such great value for money staying with the super fabulous owners Justin and Kimberly, The cottages are quiet (you only hear the birds) and very spacious - perfect in every way - and what a view of the mountains in the mornings!! The beds and pillows are wonderfully comfortable for a great night's sleep. Great shower and bath too! The Bistro is definitely the best place to eat in Tulbagh. If you plan a visit to Tulbagh don't stay abywhere else!!

Our three-night stay at Duikersdrift was absolutely magical. The attention to detail in our room was exceptional, with beautiful design elements and every amenity we could wish for. The private braai area and hot tub made our stay extra special, offering intimate spaces to unwind and connect. What sets Duikersdrift apart is the incredible privacy it offers. The stunning swimming pool area felt like our own private oasis, perfect for completely relaxing and unwinding. The Afrikaans-speaking staff were wonderfully warm and attentive while respecting our privacy. A highlight was the delicious breakfast delivered to our room each morning at our chosen time. The homemade granola and perfectly prepared miniature omelettes were a delightful way to start each day. The entire experience was tailored for romance and relaxation. From the luxuriously comfortable bed to the thoughtful room design, everything contributed to making our getaway truly special. The Estate offers a perfect blend of luxury and intimacy that made our romantic escape unforgettable. For couples seeking a private, romantic retreat in the Winelands, Duikersdrift is an absolute gem. We're already planning our return visit!

Loved our Stay Here An absolutely beautiful place to relax and unwind. Food was delicious and the staff were just amazing. Will definitely be back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay of two nights. It's beautifull to relax, enjoy great food and wine, the starry sky in the hot-tub, the swimming pool and go for a walk. We can definitly recommend .
