It's been questioned if I'm crazy, but it is a legitimate concern when I fly a collective 32 hours each way from Los Angeles just for this hotel. It is that good. There is absolutely no other property in the world where it's the perfect combination of caring staff, upscale ambience, cleanliness, spa and restaurant amenities, value, and all wrapped up in a scenic location. A friend and I who had travelled together to The Glen two years ago (and this being my....um....seventh trip there) considered other exciting options. Barcelona? Sure! Australia? Absolutely! Japan? Fascinating! But no matter what places we considered, we both had the same thought. Nowhere is more relaxing and perfect to escape than this hotel. Try as we may to go elsewhere, we were drawn like moths to a flame. After the loooong journey (that even made me question my life choices about 20+ hours into the ordeal), all of that melts away as soon as I stop foot on the property. The rooms are always beautiful. We had some shuffling that had to be done during this past 10 night stay (and the staff were very accommodating) and each room is beautifully appointed and spotless. Even the most basic standard room I stayed in the last two nights, albeit small for more than one person, has modern fixtures and feels fresh and contemporary. As beautiful as Cape Town is (arguably the most stunning locale in the world), it's always difficult to leave The Glen. Almost everything necessary is on offer here and it's a "one stop shop." It is impressive how many services they offer and they are all done with class. The bar is top notch, the restaurant has a massive variety of lunch and dinner items, there's a large array of spa trea**ents, and the pool is the ideal setting to just relax and let the world go by. The morning breakfast never disappoints and the presentation itself is a work of art. The staff are up early before dawn every morning preparing the spread and I feel guilty each time I pull items off of it; ruining the symmetry and tasteful (pun intended) layout. The breakfast buffet items are so fresh and none of it is packaged or frozen. And the staff........they are wonderful. Sadly, each time I visit every 1-2 years, there's always new faces to replace ones I had befriended before, but everyone is incredible. They all seem to take happy pills. Nothing is ever a problem, they are more than eager to assist, and they are all just genuinely the nicest people. They legitimately are concerned with your stay being the best it can be. After each stay, they become friends and I love hearing their stories, sharing a laugh, and making some new memories together. I would love to share everyone's names who make a difference, but we don't have space here, but special mentions to Takunda and Maggie for always being beautiful human beings, and Mark for managing such a big production with ease and grace. We stayed three days at the Glen and felt so much at home. The staff is so nice and helpfull with a constant smile on their faces! The hotel, the facilities, all simply amazing. Our room was total bliss with a comfy bed and a nice private balcony. We will definitely come back again!

Great hotel with lovely helpful staff, good location near ocean and restaurants, bountiful breakfast, great value. Taking one star off for off season adjus**ents: pool is not heated (which I understand as electricity is expensive) but outdoor jacuzzi is also shut down for the season. Given the chillier evenings, the jacuzzi would be perfect this time of year. There is an inside one at the spa, but that closes down at 6pm. This is a minor item, but still a disappoin**ent.

This hotel was a great experience. You are welcomed like a king. The staff is super friendly and the facility’s are perfect. The room was big and spotless clean. I come back for sure ! Just around the corner is a shopping street with lovely food market .

We stayed for a month at the Glen and what an amazing experience we had. All the staff, lead by Mark, are simply the best. They go out of their way to get to know you and ensure your every need is met. Our Suite (15) was gorgeous, spacious and our own terrace with sun beds and lounge chairs. You are in a little oasis on the outskirts of Cape Town with Ubers easily accessible and at little cost to get you where you need to go. The poolside attendants can’t do enough for you, the breakfast service sublime and they even have gin cocktails late afternoon for you to sample. If you are visiting Cape Town/Sea Point, you must stay here - a truly memorable experience, thank you to everyone for looking after us so well - we will be back!!

For our first trip to Cape Town we started with 3 nights at the Glen Boutique Hotel in Sea Point and we were so happy with our decision! We loved the location, the neighbourhood was safe, close to the sea where you could walk/run along the boardwalk and had an abundance of excellent restaurants to choose from. The hotel was fantastic, we loved our room and the beautiful balcony with views out to the sea. We enjoyed the breakfast and the fact they cooked your hot breakfast to order, whilst still having on offer fruit, pastries and juices. The pool area was lovely and we really enjoyed our trip to the spa, such a great perk to have access to a sauna and steam room! The hotel thought of everything and there was lots great perks, with afternoon cakes available and chocolates left on your bedside table every evening. All of the staff were welcoming and super friendly which really enhanced our stay! If we ever come back to Cape Town we would stay here again!

The staff at this boutique hotel is out of this world. Friendly, attentive and accommodating beyond expectations. The restaurant had enough options for vegans / vegetarians. The beds are the most comfortable ever! The entire hotel was super clean and well looked after. A great location that is close to Cape Town CBD and the waterfront. Excellent facilities for traveling corporates.

Just returned from yet another visit at my fave spot! The Glen Boutique and Team continues to do its magic. True to style, great Hospitality - the way it should be. I have recommended friends to The Glen over the years, some of whom have even cancelled visits to other Luxury Hotels, to return here. It’s a stunning property, and the team are genuine and friendly and all make it so very hard to leave each time the dreaded departure day comes! It’s also a perfect spot to make new friends too, as all guests are super friendly and just lovely people!
