L'hotel è ubicato in pieno centro della città , sulla George Mall, una strada alberata e pedonale su cui affacciano negozi e locali, vicina alle principali attrazioni e comoda per i taxi. L'albergo è ospitato nei locali di una vecchia banca, ha pavimenti di legno antichi e stretti corridoi. Le camere superior sono molto ampie, accoglienti e luminose, mentre quelle standard troppo piccole. Bagno di medie dimensioni. Value for money ottimo

We enjoyed 4 nights staying at the Old Bank Hotel. It was the perfect base for a very busy trip to Cape Town. The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre which is very convenient for getting to all the sights and popular restaurants although does feel a little unsafe. However there are security on the front door 24 hours a day which we really appreciated and was reassuring to see when coming and going or waiting for Ubers. The breakfast was great and we always started the day with full bellies. The rooms were very large, clean and spacious with a beautiful high ceiling and rainfall shower. We dined once for lunch in the restaurant as we were short on time and the food was really fantastic. The staff were friendly on every interaction and helpful with any questions we had. Great value for money all round and we would stay here again if returning to Cape Town.

I know this hotel. I stayed here before. What could go wrong? Everything. We booked a room for 20 days online through Agoda and paid a month in advance. When our employee came to the hotel after a 24h flight they said they are not letting her in the room. That they can't find Agoda's payment and we should send proof of payment. I found it strange, but we did. Hotel receptionist said it's not enough and we should call Agoda (which is their agent) and sort it out with them (we already paid and had confirmation from them). Receptionist was completely unhelpful and unable to answer what information do we need to provide nor what I should "sort out" with Agoda. But I called Agoda. Again, they confirmed our payment but couldn't reach the hotel. Our employee was waiting in the lobby for hours after a 24h flight. Nobody on the hotel side was doing anything to assist or resolve the situation. We finally asked Agoda to refund us (which they did in a matter of minutes). We booked a different hotel. No apologies, no effort, no explanation. I've stayed at the Old Bank Hotel before, so have colleagues from our company. If this is how they treat regulars, how will they treat you?

We stayed here for 3 nights , it was in a good location. Staff were amazing, helpful and very polite, clean and very comfortable room. Bed was comfy and pillows fluffy. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again if in Cape Town , really can’t fault this hotel.

The bell men were brilliant! The reception was brilliant. Laundry service was also fantastic. We had an issue with our original room and they moved us within 15 minutes of calling the reception. The hotel is central and easily accessible for Uber. Everyone was so delightful and happy, lovely experience staying here. We are back in 1 week for another night and look forward to it. Great start to our honeymoon!

Spent four nights here and found the hotel, the staff, the rooms, and the food. All excellent. Great central location for Cape Town and stuff are on hand to help you with Ubers et cetera. I get a bit nervous with a lift and access to the hotel is via a lift, so something to bear in mind if you prefer stairs. Can gladly recommend this hotel – thank you to all staff who looked after us

Wonderful attentive staff, but we felt that the hotel was a bit tired and had over egged itself. The description said “show-stopping bar offers the perfect space to sit back and enjoy the city views with a classic cocktail”. There were no city views and no cocktails were available at the mediocre bar. The deck view, was surrounded on all sides by 8ft walls that you couldn’t see over, so no views. In our room the air con worked with no issue, but the shower tray was cracked and there was a damp smell in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the window could open 10cm. The view from the room was into an appartment / office block, and the nearby market was very noisy till the early hours.
