Ai piedi della Table Mountain questo storico albergo unisce il lusso ad una eleganza di inizi ‘900 con ambienti interni che rievocano l'atmosfera di un'epoca passata. Eleganti edifici vittoriani caratterizzano l'hotel. Due grandi piscine all’aperto in giardini magnificamete curati. Servizio ineccepibile e stanze arredate con gusto classico e moderno al tempo stesso.

Questo hotel merita una mia recensione, non amo perdere il mio tempo, mi definisco una cliente estremamente esigente. Questo hotel ha superato anche i grandi e famosi Leading per la struttura e lo staff( reception, ristorante,camerieri ,signore delle pulizie e tutte le persone che lavorano in questo posto) c’è la ricerca maniacale della perfezione. Penso che soggiornare in questo hotel ti fa rivivere il famoso “Orient Express “ chi non si vuole accontentare e cerca il massimo del comfort, eleganza ,gentilezza e perfezione è il posto giusto per voi. Un ringraziamento ad Adam ottimo manager e grazie anche al manager del ristorante ottimi capitani.

Noon High Tea at Mount Nelson under the steady hand of an excellent tea sommelier and outstanding service from Thuli is not to be missed. The selection of petit sandwhiches and sweets were so very enjoyable, especially the prawns on brioche was delectable. Welcomed with a nice rose champagne followed by a vast assortment of delectable teas. A walk around the captivating grounds capped off a stellar experience! Enjoy yourselves, we certainly did! ☕️

Never have me and my family stayed in a hotel quite like the Mount Nelson! An experience of a lifetime, every staff member go out of their way for you, above and beyond to make your stay in Cape Town the best you will ever have. A true gem! We visited in early July for 5 nights and had a mixed bag of weather and even the rains couldn’t dampen our stay. The doormen greeted us every day with wide grins and greetings and the attention to detail was second to none! Tshepo, Kennedy, Limdile, Olondo, Pootea were so good with our teenage sons, who had the best craic with them every evening. Michael, guest experience manager, was perfection! A true gentleman who really took an interest in us, catering to our needs sublimely. No request was too big. Dylan was always a cheery face around the hotel offering us anything and making sure we felt at home. Luvo, our breakfast server was always on hand to make our mornings perfect. And when I speak about breakfast, I can’t describe the abundance for the first meal of the day. Never have we been met with a breakfast as plentiful as the breakfast here. There is absolutely nothing you won’t find available… NOTHING! I feel every staff deserves a mention and sadly I don’t know all their names. But if I could name them all, I would. An experience of a lifetime, this hotel is really a home away from home. Their greeting at arrival, “welcome home” sums up this hotel in two perfect words. As I write this, we are on our last night here and all I can say is I don’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back “home”.

My husband and I went to the Afternoon Tea and we were absolutely blown away by the amazing experience and the various combinations of food. We had the best waitress, Cheslyn, who served us with excellence and was so kind in making our first visit at the Mount Nelson the absolute best. We will definitely visit again just because of her! Thank you to Craig who ensures you have a tea blend selected just for you. 10/10!

Aside from being a great hotel, the care and attention I received from the staff was beyond anything at any hotel I’ve stayed in the world. I had a serious medical issue and they did more than I can write in a short review to make my stay great. From the moment you walk into the lobby you know you’re in a special place. The grounds, our room, the food, the staff were all superb. And I had lots of exposure since I only left the hotel to go to the hospital I’ve never been more impressed with the concern, follow through and support of any hotel anywhere in the world and I’ve been almost everywhere. I’d rate the Mount Nelson 10 stars if I could

Mount Nelson, the Nellie, where can one start explaining an experience at such a beautiful property. We had such a warm welcome by Mbuso, one of the doormen and Gareth, the Guest Experience Manager who met us at our car and showed us through to the lobby and assisted with our luggage. Upon our arrival at the Lobby, we were warmly met by Jacques, the Director of Guest Experience and his entire Front of House team. We had an amazing check in by Bathibile whilst having the team singing happy birthday for my birthday celebration weekend and they were all lead by Busi, one of the Guest Experience Managers. We were then taken to our beautiful room by Alex. After settling in, we were taken on a culinary journey at the Veranda Restaurant whilst being served by Nqobile who personalised our dinner to our requirements. Upon our return to our room, we were met by Amanda from the lovely Housekeeping Team who gave a special turndown and personalised gift. Before we headed to bed, we enjoyed an Espresso Martini which was setup by the In- Room dining team. We were lucky enough to meet one of the ladies, Zanele who did the setup. On the morning of our departure, we headed to the Oasis Restaurant for breakfast and was met by Nandipha who gave us a brief orientation of the offerings. We were also met by the Executive Chef, Luke whilst admiring the overwhelming breakfast options. Our waiter, Nasie made every effort to ensure we were comfortable and gave some amazing advice for tours and activities for the day. Overall our experience was nothing but memorable and all our interactions with this wonderful team was amazing. Looking forward to returning to try the famous Afternoon Tea!

This is a long overdue review of the "Nellie" This past spring my husband and I traveled to Capetown , staying at the Nellie. From the time we arrived with a side trip to the camps in Botswana , our stay was "the trip of a lifetime" . We have traveled to many places, but our experience at Mount Nelson was outstanding. The staff, and I am sorry that I cannot remember any names, met every need that we had. The breakfast was delicious as were the 2 dinners we had at the hotel. The concierges were able to arrange all the trips and dinners that we wanted. The friendliness of everyone was such a pleasure. If it weren't for the 16 hour flight, we would most certainly return often.
