Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles

Bay Haven Inn offers a wonderful stay in Cape Charles. Tammy is a wonderful host that provides great hospitality. The hot breakfast was great and served on time at 9:00. Tammy offered a wonderful history of the town and was available when needed. The Inn was very clean, and the porch offered a wonderful place to enjoy morning coffee. We highly recommend.

Beautifully restored 1880’s home on a quiet street close to the beach and restaurants. Great innkeepers, Tammy & Tim provide a warm welcoming atmosphere, and a great breakfast. Tammy is well versed in the history of Cape Charles and has helped make both the Bay Haven Inn and Cape Charles well worth the trip.

Tammy and Jim are absolutely wonderful hoteliers. The stay was exactly what my wife and I needed to escape our professional stresses. The room was better than expected and very clean. Tammy made wonderful breakfasts a was kind enough to sit and talk with us. She had the perfect personality and experiences to fit in with a myriad of personalities, very fun to be with. The town is very fun to walk or drive around, and the town folk are very friendly. The beaches are clean and well maintained. The restaurants are all delicious. We look forward to staying with Tammy and Jim's again.

We recently enjoyed a 3 day stay at the Bay Haven Inn. The inn is well-located for easy walking to the beach, downtown shops and local dining. The beautifully furnished inn, cozy bedrooms and its well-maintained gardens provide a relaxing experience. A highlight is the delicious homemade breakfast provided in a family atmosphere. Tammy’s local knowledge was invaluable in helping us plan our activities. The welcoming environment made us feel like we were staying with friends and family.

We booked a stay at the Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles for our 39th Wedding Anniversary on the weekend of July 26th 2025. The Inn is very nice and feels like home. Tammy and Jim were great at communicating with us prior and during our stay. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Tammy who provided us with some light snacks and gave us a tour of the Inn and described what to expect during our stay. We wanted for nothing during our stay. The temperature outside during the day was in the upper 90s but the Inn was nice and cool inside. Breakfast was great every morning and served at 9:00. The Inn is a 10 minute walk from the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided by the Inn and are in very good condition. Tammy and Jim were also very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. Many of the guests there were return guests. We love this place and will definitely be returning also.

Tammy and Jim have excellent communication skills that started from the moment we booked our weekend getaway! Plenty of tips shared to make the most of our time in Cape Charles. They have the gift of hospitality and we felt like we knew them even before we arrived! Amazing breakfast and the attention to detail made everything so special. We will definitely be back!
