Caravela Beach Resort

First and foremost the grounds … the 24 acres are beautifully maintained on a daily basis. There are plenty of sunbeds in all areas of the hotel (pool, beach, green areas, outside the villas, plus hammocks to relax and recharge whilst taking in the lush green scenery). The actual resort building is also beautiful in architecture. The resort offers a whole host of activities to keep you occupied during the day including golf, mini golf, tennis, taking a bike out onto the beach or crafts and classes. Some of the activities are free of charge and some of them are paid for. Either way, there is an abundance of things to do to keep you entertained and occupied throughout the day if relaxing is not your thing. If relaxing is your thing then there is plenty of space for that too! There’s also the spa (and we thoroughly enjoyed the Indian full body massage) and also a gym and steam room. The hotel have golf buggies that can take you around the resort from one place to the next upon request. The variety of restaurants is also great so you can have Indian, Pan Asian, Italian or Seafood and more! The food really is quality and simply flavorsome and delicious. For breakfast it's buffet style, with a number of Indian stations where the food is cooked fresh for example Dosa, Paratha and then also an omelette station and a pancake/waffle station. Again the food is in its abundance and delicious and the staff are very attentive to any extra needs you may have depending on your dietary requirements. The service here is exceptional. The staff are friendly and ready to attend your every need but without being invasive. They really have understood good customer service and are ready to help in anyway to make your stay the most enjoyable possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Caravela and were made to feel most welcome. Suggestions to further improve the experience at the Caravela: 1. A rail on the balcony where you can hang your wet clothes. 2. Breakfast and dinner buffets starting earlier at 7 am/p.m respectively. 3. Having 24/7 access to the gym. Opening at 8am is too late for early risers or those who have other activities or tours booked. Same goes for the mini golf and beach bikes- better to do these activities earlier at 6/7am to beat the heat. 4. When booking taxis to popular tourist spots, the travel desk staff should know and advise the best time to go so as not to miss specific opening times … we went to the Basilica and the Cathedral on a Sunday morning to beat the heat, but they weren’t open to visitors until 11am so we missed seeing them from the inside as we were far too early.

A property worth spending time with your family and friends. The food, ambience, amenities and staff... everything is just wonderful. Staff is very courteous and helpful. They make sure guests are always at comfort. Beach is just walk away from the property and is kept clean. Beach restaurant is another place worth spending your evening. I want to call out few of the staff members of the property who were so welcoming and extremely good with their work. Radhika and Antika are very humble and wonderful ladies. They ensure that we are comfortable during our stay. Israr , from the housekeeping team, is another staff I want to call out. He has ensured to keep our rooms sparkling clean. One area they need to look at is Spa service. An area which needs improvement. Overall, Would highly recommend this property whether u r on solo trip or with family, Caravela offers something for everyone. Would definitely visit them again.

Room cleaning is very late…Also lack of Turndown service Also at Evenings..I stayed in Presidential suite stil felt very bad at services.. Check photos..I am posting tis at 1.20pm..rooms are not cleaned yet..Very poor room service.. The resort has too many rooms but very few staffs i feel

I stayed at Caravela Beach Resort as part of a destination wedding event and I must say that I want to go back there again for vacation. With brilliant architecture providing an old world charm, beautiful exterior landscaping and the beach front it is perfect for a relaxed stay. It has a private beach (Varca beach) which is one of the most beautiful beaches amongst the ones I have visited in Goa. Pristine blue water and white sands give a stunning view. The rooms are fairly spacious with balconies where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea either overlooking the pool or the forest. They have a pool side bar and we thouroughly enjoyed cocktails and pizza while chilling in the pool. The pool side bar defnitely adds to the exeperience. One thing to note is that majority part of the pool is quite deep and hence accessible only to swimmers. But there is a part of the pool which can be accessed by non swimmers and kids. Overall staying at Caravela was a wonderful experience. The staff were very gracious and made our stay confortable inspite of the resort being completely booked. Will recommend it to anyone visiting Goa and also as a venue for destination weddings given it has spacious lawns by the side of the beach - perfect venue for sundown events.

This was the second time for us at Caravela and I must say we had an awesome time. The staff in general is very warm and hospitable, always ready to go the extra mile for your comfort. We loved our lunches at the Beach Hut and dinners at Lanai everyday, great vibe at both. Special mention to Deepika at the Activity Centre who manages the space effortlessly and multitasking so beautifully. My 7 yr old son is her fan! Overall, amazing stay and looking forward to many more memorable vacays at this super friendly resort!
