Hotel staff very friendly. The rooms was clean, slightly outdated however still good enough. Swimming pool clean and good size. This is second time we have come, and already booking to go again. Highly recommend for family’s and friends. Quiet location.

Stayed at this hotel over new year for 2 weeks. The hotel is a little tired but was clean and tidy. The room we were in was big with a balcony and very comfortable. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was the normal Goan choice of eggs cooked to order with a small selection of other breakfast item's. There was a small charge for extras ie. Bacon sausage and other breakfast items. We had snacks /sandwiches for lunch which were a little hit and miss from what we were expecting but perfectly edible. Evening meals we always ate in one of the restaurants in Candolim as there was so much choice and at very reasonable prices. What we loved about this hotel were the staff and its position. The staff are what make this place a little gem everyone was pleasant and genuinely pleased to see you. If you asked for anything, if they could do it for you they would. The position of the hotel is behind its sister hotel opposite the football ground making it very central to walk in either direction to the bars, restaurants shops or the beach. The nice thing about it position was that the world could be going mad, (on the main road with the what appears to be the very normal practice of using the car horn every few seconds for every car of which there were lots,) and you couldn’t hear a thing. The pool is a nice size with a few sun-beds around with a smaller plunge pool. We never had a problem getting a sun-bed in the mornings and usually did the afternoon at somewhere nearer to the beach. Will we be going back, definitely, we booked for next January as soon as we got back.

Where to begin… Awful smell in the lobby area, which never quite went even with every door and window open. Other guests reported the same problem. Breakfast is basically toast and eggs, extra to pay if you want cheese in your omelette. Chunks of fruit and 2 choices of cereal. Often no knives or teaspoons. Dirty cups Rooms only cleaned if you ask, guests can put a card out to ask for cleaning but no one was told about this on check in. Net curtain hanging down and only rectified after mentioning it to the manager. Don’t eat in the restaurant, the food is truly awful.. while we were there we saw it used just twice. We had a meeting with the manager and he took it all on board and it slowly improved. Thank you for the wine delivered to our room. On a positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely, not a pool for children though as very deep. Special mention to the lady and *** who clean the pool area, they worked very hard. Bed enormous and incredibly comfortable as was the pillow. Nice to have a plug for the sink and a bucket in the bathroom, which was good for doing the laundry.

Just had 21nightS at this lovley hotel . Staff are friendly and will do all they can for you always smiling . Very clean breakfast plenty swimming pool very clean . Beds comfy pillows soft. Never saw any bugs in the room or hotel . Sorry we are leaving today lovley stay . Linda&Ian Stewart . Would come back

Has a great stay at Silver Sands Hideaway Kavita and Rama are superb hosts The rooms are clean and well appointed and housekeeping was excellent Breakfast is limited but served by staff who are happy to please I would definitely stay at this hotel again

Stayed here for 6 weeks. The staff were excellent, very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely pool area and very clean. I got ill and was in hospital, they were very concerned and helpful. The food is top quality. I will definitely be going back.

Amazing place and ambience, good service and staff. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The property is beautiful and has good amenities. The staff is polite, the rooms are very big and good. Overall a very good experience and a very good property.

The staff is rude and disrespectful. Only for profit, no customer service. We had two rooms and it was corporate booking for work. The couldn’t even give any meal after 10:30 pm.

Hotel was extremely worn out and tired looking. We faced major cleanliness and hygiene issues as soon as we entered the hotel. The room which was allocated to us had musty smell and major dampness. There was fungus on the headboard and the sofa fabric. Everything in the room was almost in a bad condition. We had later requested for another room which was again in a bad state however the room was again cleaned infront of us and then it was given. We had planned to stay for two nights but reduced our stay for one night due to major cleanliness issues we faced. 1. The water coblets were dirty and had brown substance. 2. Headboard had fungus which was later cleaned. 3. The shower didn't work and also the fixtures were loose and we had to use bucket and mug to take a bath. 4. We ordered for drinks in the afternoon around 1 pm but there was no ice available. The order taker was not aware about the charges and the drink was served in dirty glasses. 5. Payment for the drinks were collected from us at 9. 45pm in the night which was bizzare rather tha payment could have been collected at the time of checkout. It was mere 300 rupees. We had already paid 3500 for a night prior to our checkin. 6. Our room charges included breakfast however there was no buffet. In the morning they mentioned that one a loo pratha and poha can be given. 7. Corridors were covered with plastic sheets and then also the rainwater was dripping inq rhea corridor. 8. The hotel product was good however was very poorly managed and not maintained at all. Before booking this hotel we recommend to check the hotel personally as i suppose no one would like to stay there. It's better to book nearby hotels which are nearly half priced and offer better cleaning services.
