Zafiro Can Picafort

On arrival we were told we'd be able to extend the room considering we wouldn't be picked up until 6pm. So have turned up to confirm and as we are not 'on the list' we have to pack up early. Sunbeds - if you want one with shade (the parasols are attached to the ground and cannot be moved), you need to be at the pool by 7am. The prime locations near the pool bar are all taken a lot earlier, have been down at just before 7am and the whole area is carpeted by blue towels with not a soul in sight. Kids entertainment starts way too early, it's so hot it's unbearable. Whole hotel basically shuts down at 10pm. The beach is nice and sandy with crystal clear waters but expect it to be packed. Food is okay, what you'd expect from an all inclusive and staff are great. The Italian wasn't open for our stay, we are at the pool restaurant and the grill, just great to get away from the crowds. No issues with the main restaurant, it's never been crowded that we had to wait, guess that's from going down for dinner at 7.30-8pm. Beer is good and so are the cocktails. You do queue for drinks but not for too long. Kids loved the all you can raid ice cream freezer and dispenser by the wet bar. easyJet transfer to the hotel took 3 hours, in town a taxi to the airport is just about €90. Especially on the way to the hotel, if you don't want to hang around and get a view of all the other hotels, as the Zafiro was last, then jump in a cab. Journey back isn't as important, just want you make the most of it while you can. Downgraded as we were told we could extend, and know block 2 is used for overflow but bluntly told we were not on the list it was a no.

We had a brilliant time at this hotel we are a family of 4 with 2 little ones. Our highlights were the food, drinks, pool bubble, pirate pool and the comfortable beds at smaller pool. We would spend mornings at the beach only a 10 min walk away and afternoons at pool. We ate in all the restaurants and loved having lunch at the pool bar and our favourite meal was at the pool restaurant too! Would like to call out all the amazing staff that work at this hotel, the bar staff, restaurant staff, entertainment team, cleaning team, lifeguards, the list goes on so many people making it a great hotel. I also spotted the GM walking round on loads of occasions and engaging with her team. Don’t let some of the reviews put you off booking, the rooms might need modernising but they are clean and the beds are very comfortable. There is a charge for a the use of a travel cot I do think this should be embedded in the price but it was a good cot and our child slept well in it. You can’t control the air con from your room as centrally controlled however it was also nice and cool. We had the basic room and did think the garden rooms would have been quite nice to stay in and the swim up rooms also looked great. We don’t like to claim sun loungers with towels but there was always plenty of space when we were there to find somewhere in the shade. I’ve only taken pictures of my burger meals but I mostly ate the salads which were fresh and tasty!

Fantastic Family-Friendly Hotel – Perfect for Young Kids! Just returned from a 6-night stay at Zafiro Ca'n Picafort with my girlfriend and her two boys (aged 6 and 4), and we’re so glad we chose this hotel. We had a lovely time and it ticked all the boxes for a relaxed, family-friendly holiday. Highlights: Trampoline Pool: An absolute hit! The boys were entertained for hours. I honestly can’t imagine staying at a hotel without this kind of feature in the future – it made a huge difference. Snack Bar: Great food – better than the main buffet restaurant for lunch, in our opinion. Super convenient too, as there’s no need to get changed out of swimwear like you would for the buffet. Inflatables: No need to pack your own – there were always plenty of inflatables around the pool that guests seemed happy to share. Cocktails: Excellent quality and a wide variety. A nice touch for an all-inclusive resort. All-Inclusive Wristbands: These doubled up as room keys, which was a clever and handy feature. À la Carte Restaurants: We ate at these three times and found both the food and service very good. Just make sure to select dishes and drinks marked "(All Inc)" to avoid any unexpected charges. Gym: Nothing special, but perfectly adequate for a holiday workout to keep off the extra pounds! Buffet Restaurant: Good overall selection, though the straight-line layout made for a bit of a dodging game during busy times. Location: Nice local bars and restaurants just a short walk away, which gave us options outside the hotel. Mini Train Ride: A fun and affordable way to explore the area (€13 approx). It had 13 stops – we weren’t sure if it worked as a hop-on-hop-off all day, but it was still a nice little tour. Aldi Nearby: Just down the road – we popped in and it seemed very reasonably priced. Final Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this hotel for families, especially with young children. The facilities, entertainment, and family-friendly layout really made it a stress-free stay. That said, I probably wouldn’t return as a couple or solo traveler, as it’s very much geared towards families with kids – which is exactly what we needed this time! We had a fantastic family holiday at the zafiro can picafort. We were traveling with a 2 year old and a 8 month old. We stayed all inclusive in a garden room. The hotel is perfectly set up for children. The room was spacious so you didn’t feel in top of each other. The main bed was comfy and the kitchen was useful. The kitchen came with a kettle, toaster, microwave, 2 pan hob and fridge with a small freezer section, as well as plates pans cups and cutlery. We had requested 2 cots but only one was set up when we arrived. Once we contacted reception a second cot was set up quickly. The cots are big enough for a toddler and come with a mattress and mattress protector. The sheets provided weren’t fitted but we had taken our own so not an issue for us. The infant cot was included but we paid a supplement of €4 per day for the second cot for our toddler. There are several pools which you can choose from. The pirate pool with slides and water fountains. This was good and our little boy enjoyed it. It was very slippy on the side I would recommend some pool shoes for littles. Some of the features weren’t working such as water on some of the slides and some water fountains but there was plenty that was working to enjoy. The main pool with the dome and swim up bar was great it was waist height so could easily walk around with the children on floats. The entertainment team put on daily activities for children and adults. There are several smaller quieter pools dotted around which we did use a few times. All pools were manned by lifeguards and we were impressed at home much they seemed to actually be checking on everyone. The pool bar was fab there are two sides one in the pool and one by the pool side. Drinks are served at both and there is a self service water and ice cream station. We ate predominantly at the buffet and the pool bar due to ease with 2 little ones. The buffet was good lots of choice and catered to adults and children they have plenty of high chairs. They have cups plates and bowls and spoons in varying colour for the children and my 2 year old loved picking his own. In an evening there were people regularly sweeping under high chairs to keep the dinning area clean and tidy. The lunch bar by the pool was great again good choice for adults and children. The food was good and their service was quick. We were all inclusive the majority of stuff on the menu is included but premium spirits and ice creams had a supplement charge. As long as this is known in advance we didn’t have an issue with it. It wasn’t however explained to us we had noted to look from an earlier review. Anything on the menu with all in was covered and ice creams in the pink freezer with a green tick were included. We walked down to the town and the can picafort sign which was lovely Aldi is on the way it. It was about a 20 min walk. The area from the hotel to the front although not the most picturesque felt safe. The front had plenty of bars and restaurants an

We had a brilliant stay at this family-friendly hotel. The splash park with slides was amazing – our 2-year-old went from being scared on day one to never wanting to leave! The buffet always had plenty of choice (the omelette chef in the mornings is fantastic), and the à la carte restaurants and poolside lunches were excellent. Entertainment is mixed – the kids loved the mini disco, and there’s usually a fun phone-based quiz each night, but we were mostly too tired to stay up late anyway. Staff are great, sunbeds are plentiful, and practical touches like an Aldi nearby are handy (the on-site shop is pricier). Top tip: Bring mosquito spray – you’ll need it in the evenings!

Hotel was fantastic with comfortable and spacious rooms. We booked a penthouse and absolutely loved having the top floor with hot tub. The pools are brilliant and excellent facilities for kids. Another major highlight was the quality of the food and drinks, it was our first time all inclusive and we were very impressed. Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back.
