Days Inn & Conference Centre by Wyndham Camrose Norsemen

No one at the front desk upon arrival. Had to wait. Keys wouldn’t work the second day so not sure if they just keyed it for the one night. Not very sound proof so heard loud talking in the night. Just an ok place to stay. Could possibly have booked else where for a cheaper price and got the same accommodation.

Under construction but they did a great job of going above and beyond to make my stay great.

It was a wonderful stay! Everything was as expected and very comfortable. Loved the beds and appreciated the decaf coffee at breakfast. We would stay here again.

First room the toilet was not cleaned and it looked like buddy had Taco Bell:( Second room they gave us had a toilet sitting in the middle of the room and a mirror on the bed Third room was a HUGE down grade and not at all what we booked. Normally I wouldn’t care for the inconvenience but it was a 5 hour drive on horrible roads and a funeral to attend in the morning and very pricey still for a HUGE down grade and with all of the mistakes not impressed sheets are stained pieces of carpet are missing will not be spending 175 here again

Renovations taking place, but this was not an issue. Although we were booked in to room 121 on the wing where they were doing flooring, first night was OK second night we come back to the hotel and front desk said nothing to us coming in but we were stopped halfway down the hall by workers. They told us the wing we were on was supposed to be vacant and said it was not safe to be there because of the fumes and to see the front desk. Went to the front desk and they said they would move us but it was already 8:30 PM and we were tired. Went back to the room to pack our stuff which took us about 15 minutes and by the time we were finished, we both had headaches… Head was feeling heavy and we were both having breathing issues so we decided to just leave because the fumes were so strong in the room that we just wanted to get out of the hotel. Manager was willing to comp breakfast the next morning but we figured a $30 breakfast was not worth risking our lives staying in a hotel where they did not even know we were in the room that we were in… No one was very concerned that we were already sick from the fumes or that they didn’t even know we were in the room that we were in… Asked for the general manager or owner to call me, but no one responded. Will be reporting this to OHS and Alberta health as breathing toxic fumes is unacceptable and a hotel not knowing what room their guests are in is just as unacceptable and will be reported to the hotel Association. DO NOT STAY HERE

The property was in the process of a Branding change, so there was some construction in common areas During the time that we were there. We found the hotel to be very quiet, And the rooms and Common areas were actually still very clean and comfortable. the restaurant service was quite nice.

The Desk Staff were very accommodating as we were a family who had suffered a great loss and were not sure of our next moves and for how long. The Receptionists were kind, understanding and accomodationg. They keep our group of rooms together and mad us feel as welcome as if we were family visiting them. The Restaurant and housekeeping members of these Teams were also very above par. A very Wonderful place to be when one needs Comfort.

The beds where squeaky. No complimentary shampoo. The only thing available was body wash.

My only complaint is the bed was too hard and the pillows were too hard...other than that, all was good.
