Hotel in zona Southworks Antiques, Cambridge

L'hotel è in una posizione decente, molte opzioni alimentari intorno. La stanza era standard, pulita, il letto era buono.. aveva una microonde e frigorifero. Il colazione era buono per qualcosa di veloce da mangiare, i bambini amavano le waffle di cioccolato. L’unica domanda che avevo era con la signora anziana al divano, e ho cercato di controllare un’ora prima, perché mia moglie non si sentiva bene, e lei ha indicato che non erano disponibili camere, e lei era nel suo ufficio e dietro una barriera di vetro. Anche quando le ho detto che avevo un disturbo auditivo, non è venuta a vedermi al vetro. La stessa donna era al checkout, avevamo chiesto un checkout alle 12:00, mentre eravamo in un torneo di hockey e il nostro gioco non era fino alle 4:00. Lei disse bene, ma le ragazze continuavano a baciarci sulla nostra porta e ci chiesero di andarsene, quando abbiamo chiamato il desk, lei ha cambiato idea e ha detto che dovremmo uscire alle 11. Ho controllato la prenotazione per la notte successiva e l'hotel era vuoto. Non ci dica una cosa e faccia un'altra, davvero? Ho appena trovato che ha messo un gusto amargo nella bocca dal momento che siamo arrivati fino al momento che abbiamo lasciato.

Molto vicino all'autostrada e il personale è amichevole. Buon colazione anche.

***** WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ***** I have now witnessed the most incompetent guest service at a hotel ever. My background is Hotels. I worked at Claridges one of the most prestigious five star hotels in London England with Gordon Ramsey as our executive chef. I also worked as the head concierge at The Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff as some examples. We were trained properly to go above and beyond a guests expectations. Upon arrival we waited over two and a half hours to get checked in as we were the only ones there at the time. Unfortunately due to the horrible management of this property they left a new team member on the front desk that had only been working there for a week. (complete failure on their part) He was absolutely lost and even said while he was dealing with me that he was going to have a heart attack or commit suicide after his shift. He was so flustered trying to get any kind of help from management on the phone. Finally the night auditor showed up and was able to check-in the backlog of guests sitting around the lobby. We had a confirmed booking for 2 Queens beds and upon our arrival into our room it was a king and sofa bed. I went back down to the lobby and they said that they would deal with it in the morning as the manager would get back to me about the room and our experience the night before. (I'd also just had back surgery 5 weeks prior) Our rate for the two Queens was 169 per night. After a Week (not the next day as promised) I finally received a call from the hotel operations manager Nalini Cackryanathen about my experience. She explained I would also not qualify for the 169 as we had a king bed and would have to pay 229 instead? ***? WE BOOKED AND HAD CONFIRMED TWO QUEEN BEDS with a confirmation number. In the end they offered a free night voucher to the hotel - NO CHANCE WE WILL GO BACK EVEN FOR FREE. I asked for the owners email so I could explain what is going on in his hotel and they refused saying he's not hands on and isn't really interested in the daily operations of his property? 🤯 I guess it comes from the top down!

La stanza è pulita nel suo complesso, dovrebbe essere tutto. Il ristorante può entrare direttamente dalla porta dell'hotel. Si stima che sia un ristorante collaborativo. Le cose sono generalmente. I have to say I want to stay here again and peek around. I had the opportunity to stay for 3 nights, but honestly, I started looking at YouTube videos and realized this place is haunted and changed my mind. I now want to stay there again and realized i should have stayed here for my full business trip. I had the tolken room. Perfect for me. Big Fruit Filled Fig Tree mural and a view of the beauty of a church next to this pretty little community of Paris, Ontario. Whether my mind was playing tricks on me but several times I got noticeable chills down my spin and spouts of extream hot and freezing ice cold.....I know I was being watched and even had to say out loud a fews times to cut it out....nothing scary for me. Might freak some other people out, but remember, the mind can do some funny things to us. The staff is incredible! I met three staff members, and all had pride, and you could tell you are passionate about The Arlington. It is a big deal to work there because of its history and marking in our country. The one lady took me to the basement so I could see the original stone bar and foundation of this amazing structure. I really liked this unique experience staying here and hope i can stay here again one day. Really too bad I missed high tea, what a great idea. I bet they get lots of locals and tourists for these events. Thanks again!

Molto pulito e non puzza male neanche la stanza è coperta. La stanza è spaziale e luminosa. Ma il condizionamento dell'aria è un po' rumoroso.

The place is spacious, very clean, nice view on the 18 floor, have all amenities stove , fridge, washer, dryer , gym and swimming pool. The host very friendly and was nice. I will definitely go back again . Also the price is reasonable and affordable, it is like a condominium, not like a hotel. Thank you.

Our check-in and out was easy, very nice staff. We have stayed here previously and had always had an above average experience, this time we found the hotel dirty and rooms not cleaned to other Delta/Marriott standards. We understand that due to the pandemic staffing shortages have occurred, and this may be the case here. The room was a king sized bed, nice shower/bathroom set up. The pool was busy and the hot tub closed, also the gym appeared closed as well, likely due to COVID restrictions. The main issue was the lack of vaccuming, old nail clippings on the floor and dirt visible. The dresser was very dirty inside so we laid the drycleaning bag under our belongings. There was tape on the ceiling, not sure what that was about. We would stay here again, I am not sure I would seek it out as we did before. Very convenient location to restaurants and shopping.

We recently stayed at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Brantford for five days during a recent visit to the Ontario area. The hotel is a new-ish complex off the highways with convenient access and a fast food complex (Tims, Wendys, KFC, Taco Bell, Indian) within walking distance. The design of the property is to incorporate a few more kitchen-style amenities into a larger room ideal for longer stays (think basement suite but in a hotel). The hotel has a pool with excellent access times (no hot tub), and it also has a fitness center accessible 24/7 along with several meeting rooms for events. Front desk staff (all of them) during check in, extending stay and overall assistance were great. For some reason, one of our key cards deactivated a few times over the course of our stay, which was quickly resolved in both cases. The room was spacious and equipped with a medium sized fridge, freezer, microwave, dishes and cutlery for use. You are able to rent for free a hot plate and cookware if needed (we did not opt to). The furnishings were very nice and modern, the accommodations were clean (sheets, etc.) overall. The only minor faults I noticed were utensils not completely clean - some had water stains and slight residue from prior use. We were very comfortable nevertheless and the blinds were great at keeping the sunlight out. Breakfast was a good offering, however I do have a bit of an issue that it was offered as a “hot breakfast”, The general norm I've come to understand is that a hot breakfast will include hot proteins like eggs, bacon… the only things that were hot were the oatmeal, DIY waffles, toast and breakfast sandwiches after heating them up in the microwave. They also did not rotate or offer variety over the course of the stay (five nights) which became a bit tiresome. Moreover, you have to be on time for breakfast, as they will pull the curtains on you (quite literally) at 9:30. A suggestion to elevate this to a stellar offering would be to consider incorporating a few hot trays (eggs, bacon, sausage) and rotate them with the breakfast sandwiches. Also, some folks felt rushed to grab items at 9:30, so perhaps an extension to 10am may be helpful for late risers. Can't give half circles - a one night stay would've been a 5, but it trended down a bit given the longer stay. Overall, despite the downfalls (which were minor in the grand scheme of things), provided you mix up your breakfast and eat out every now and then for longer stays, the Home2 Suites Brantford is a very good showing indicative of its current rating on TripAdvisor. The value is really good for what you receive, that is if you are willing to be a further distance away from the GTA and Niagara Falls area. We went to this hotel as a team, after the hotel listed themselves as a ”preferred hotel for the tournament” Which is very confusing to me because they clearly do not want any families there as a group. The amount of times that security had interactions with a group of grown adults, was insane. During daylight hours (3:30-7:30pm) we were told to move locations, then we were then told to leave that area, several times. We tried to be respectful of other hotel guests by staying outside also because it was a gorgeous day, the staff told us we needed to go indoors to the lobby. Night two, we are putting our kids to bed and security wouldn't leave our floor. First they told us that we cannot sit quietly in the hall, just my husband and I at 7:45pm, we had to stand. So we stood up, 10 minutes later we were told we needed to get out of the hallway and go to the lobby because it's a walkway. We tried to explain to the guards that our kids are young and we would not be leaving the hotel room door, but that they cannot go to sleep with us sitting in there. There was a language barrier and after a bit more of a civil conversation, they proceeded to tell us that we would be charged for a noise complaint charge because apparently we had four warnings, we were unaware of the first two or three. The rooms are nice, hotel is new. The breakfast is terrible, eggs were like rubber. I will never understand why hotels that choose to be tournament hotels don't catch on to put us in an actual block of rooms to lessen any potential complaints from other guests. To top it all off, there were 3 homeless men that were in the bush at the back of the parking lot, they came into the lobby and were approaching some of our team girls who are between 11-13 years old, when security was asked about what was being done about this they said ”they had no idea but that they believed it to be okay, no police were called” Thankfully, we had a friend who is a SWAT officer onshift nearby, he came by to check it out and it turns out that all of these men have warrants out for their arrest. How unsettling for all of these parents with young kids, and it seems the hotel didn't think it was an issue.
