It can accommodate a few families, a large family, a large group of friends and has been rented for graduations, work retreats, marriages, proposals and many different celebrations. Smith Mountain Lake, nicknamed the "Jewel of the Blue Ridge", for its topaz water and emerald shores, has more than 580 miles of shoreline.
