Lua de Caldelas

I've been a lot to this part of Portugal and this is the best place I've found so far. Friendly people, very tastefully designed, beautiful views, amazing food, lovely garden, everything is perfect. My favorite part are the lamps that are designed by the lady of the house herself. Could not recommend more.

Great food an warm hosts. We rode mountain bikes in the area all taken care of by yhe hosts. Lovely Spa in the area and hot tube for relaxing after a long day at the hotel. The village is quaint and there are local restaurants around. Not many vegan options in the village.

Beautiful designed hotel in an old building near an old church with a formidable view over the landscape. A big garden with trees and therefore plenty of shadow. In the garden you can enjoy a hot tub while drinking a cocktail. The rooms are light, spacious and well designed by the owners. We had a formidable diner and a healthy breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and a conversation with the friendly owners. English and Dutch spoken.

Amazing place... Great rooms, very nice decoration. Outside hot tab excellent. A lot of thought was invested in the palace to give the visitors the optimal experience. Food amazing. The owners are a great and interesting couple. Good luck Ziv and Keren

An outstanding place. New small boutique hotel, everything was excellent, beyond our expectations. Exceptional design, large room and bathroom, very comfortable bed and linen, everything spotless. Outside, large garden with 3 hot tubs overlooking the valley, an open space fore gathering with open fire. Great breakfast and dinner . The hosts are so friendly and generous. We will definitely return

We had a wonderful stay, definitely recommend. Beautiful rooms, great location, delicious food and lovely hosts. Everything is thought through to the smallest details. We arrived with my family to celebrate 50th anniversary to our parents and it was the perfect choice of accommodation for us. Don’t miss out the hot-tub with the valley view The hotel sits right near an astonishing nature reserve in which you can take great day trips.

Lua de Caldelas is een statige woning die door de uitbaters grondig is vernieuwd en heringericht zodat gasten volledig kunnen ontspannen en genieten van deze fantastische plek. Hottubs in de tuin, een prachtig uitzicht vanuit elke kamer, hartelijke gastvrouw- en heer en heerlijk eten ... Zodra je voet zet op het domein, valt alle stress (als je die zou hebben) van je schouders, want er heerst een ontspannen sfeer en je voelt je onmiddellijk welkom. De eigenaars doen er alles aan opdat je als gast tot rust kan komen. De kamers zijn comfortabel en ruim en met smaak en oog voor elk detail (die lampenkappen) ontworpen. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en alles wordt vers klaargemaakt. Ik raad ook het diner aan, de kok gebruikt regionale seizoensproducten maar ze geven er een eigen heel frisse draai aan. We keren niet graag terug naar een plek (de wereld is groot en er is veel te ontdekken) maar voor Lua De Caldelas maken we graag een uitzondering. Fantastische, inspirerende plek!
