Highlands Four Season Resort

As this is a golf resort, it's pretty quiet in the winter. The 1-bedroom suite was well-stocked and cozy. Know before booking that there is no TV in the bedroom, only in the living space. For us this was a plus; some people may want to watch TV in bed, so bring a laptop. :) We had a few minor issues that were swiftly remedied by management. Would definitely return.

I am sure M. J. O'Brien must have found Barryvale a safe haven when he first arrived to build the K and P rail line and it sure feels like that today. The Kingston/Pembroke rail line was built in the 1880's to bring people to this beautiful part of the County of Renfrew, ON. Today, the Old K and P Trail, is a well travelled route that has folks stopping, staying and playing at Calabogie Highlands Golf Resort. You know you are at a friendly, family run business, when the owner checks you in, at the office in the Pro Shop and leaves you her cell phone number in case you need anything. Everything was exactly what I needed to enjoy some relaxed family time. We enjoyed a visit to the Calabogie Motor Sports Track and everyone was impressed with this first-rate operation and will always remember those motorcycles racing around the track. After a delicious meal at the Red Neck Bistro, I headed to shore of the resort to watch the beautiful sunset and take countless photos. Time with my children and grandchildren on the putting green was another highlight for me. I also managed to finish writing a new short story, sitting next to the well-manicured gardens. Calabogie Highlands Golf Resort is a small resort with huge offerings, that has managed to survive a pandemic and thrive again. I give this resort, its owners and employees FIVE stars.
