New President Hotel Cairo

Il design della camera è semplice e confortevole. Rispetto alla decorazione classica, questo hotel a 3 stelle è molto buono, ma i passanti sono un po' rumorosi per un po' di notte. In tempi normali, la zona è ancora molto tranquilla e c'è una valutazione molto alta nella zona vicino all'hotel. Il ristorante pizzeria, l'enoteca e il bar sono molto indicati per i turisti prevalentemente fuori porta.

Mio marito ed io abbiamo trascorso cinque notti al New President Hotel e non avremmo potuto essere più soddisfatti del nostro soggiorno. La camera era pulitissima e confortevole e la doccia spaziosa. La posizione è perfetta, in un tranquillo quartiere di Zamalek che assicura una buona notte di sonno, ma a soli cinque minuti a piedi da una strada principale piena di negozi e ristoranti. (E solo poche porte più in là da Cavo, un piccolo caffè che offre ottimi cappuccini...) Abbiamo camminato dal nostro hotel al Museo Egizio e ad altri siti --- era circa mezz'ora a piedi --- ma abbiamo anche prendevamo Uber ogni volta che non avevamo voglia di camminare da nessuna parte perché è incredibilmente economico: la nostra corsa di quarantacinque minuti fino alle Piramidi di Giza costava circa $ 10, e qualsiasi cosa all'interno del Cairo stesso non costava mai più di un paio di dollari. Anche se le camere pulite e confortevoli e un'ottima posizione contribuiscono notevolmente, sono le persone a rendere sempre un posto memorabile. Ahmed, il direttore, è stato incredibilmente disponibile e gentile. Una notte, quando tornavamo da una visita di un'intera giornata alle Piramidi e mio marito si sentiva un po' debole per la disidratazione (qualcosa a cui è incline), corsi a comprare una grande bottiglia d'acqua al piccolo mercato a un paio di porte da lì. l'albergo. Ahmed ha insistito per salire in ascensore con mio marito per assicurarsi che arrivasse sano e salvo nella nostra stanza. Si è assicurato che avessimo la sua carta con noi ogni volta che lasciavamo l'hotel nel caso avessimo bisogno di assistenza, e mi ha anche insegnato delle frasi in arabo quando gliel'ho chiesto. FAVOLOSO!

We had a great stay at the new president hotel for 4 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even gifted us a fruit platter ome day. Especially when the water used to leak out of the shower cubicle. Only issue was the shower cubicle. A step ledge needs to be added so water doesn't come out everytime one showers. The area Zamalek was safe and we could walk at night without feeling scared. There are so many nice restaurants, cafés and dessert lounges in that area and every few km there were police cars. The breakfast was in the next door hotel and food was good.

Clean, safe, modern and friendly mid-class hotel in the middle of Zamalek. I travelled solo as a Scandinavian woman and found the area very safe both day and night. A great base for exploring Cairo. The nearest metro station (the metro is very convenient for getting around the city) is a 5-6 minutes walk away. Also a good selection of restaurants, coffeeshops, breakfast places and bars around. If you don't fancy going out at night there is an italian restaurant next to the hotel lobby with indoor and ourdoor seating. Will stay again next time I go to Cairo.

The staff are incredible, they are all genuinely nice and passionate about their jobs. We stayed 3 times during a 2 week Egypt trip (between tours), and they held our luggage and remembered us each time we checked in again. It’s very personal service which I love. Facilities are very modern, well looked after and most importantly, very clean. Perfect location, within 5-15 mins walk of restaurants and cafes in each direction, plus an Italian restaurant downstairs which we didn’t get to visit but was very buzzy. Would come back if we visit Cairo again!

We stayed several days at the New President, and we were so happy with the hotel staff - all were very genuinely friendly and nice and care about providing exceptional service. The rooms were very modern and clean, and the location was perfect, in a very safe part of Cairo - we never got hassled or had any problems walking around at night, and there are many nice cafes and restaurants in the area. It was also nice to have access to a gym, which had nice views over the skyline. We will definitely be back in the future, happy to recommend !

New President was a great base for my wife and I's cairo holiday. Really well located on Zamalek it was fairly quiet by Cairo standards and has embassies all around it which meant it felt fairly safe. We were able to wander the island without any hassling. The wifi was decent the rooms were big and everything was a good standard for a budget hotel. You really get some good value for money out of the rooms, although our shower tended to flood a little. Heaps of really good restaurants and cafes around. The main street has cheaper food as well as more expensive sit down meals. I would also highly recommend a guide, we used Khaled / Egypt Dreamers Whatsapp: +20 122 744 8749 we used him for the 3 days we were here and he showed us all of Cairo.

To my surprise i would never have thought that a three star hotel in Egypt would be that beautiful and spotless clean. The Staff was very friendly and always helpful. The young receptionist helped me with any question. The rooms were very clean, the towels changed every day thanks to the cleaning lady Nada who also always made sure that we had enough water bottles available and clean bedsheets. I can highly recommend the hotel to anyone who expects a high standard for good money. The location is very convenient and taxis always pass by. Breakfast is to be consumed at the Hotel President next door, the older version of the hotel on the 11th floor for about EUR 11/person.
