Drimsynie Estate Hotel

We recently stayed in caravan 052, the two-bedroom gold caravan, and overall, our experience was positive. Accommodation: The caravan was beautifully maintained and in pristine condition, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It featured a king-size bed, two twin beds, and two pull-out sofa beds. While we did find the beds to be somewhat uncomfortable, we managed to sleep reasonably well. The view from the caravan was absolutely spectacular. Activities and Entertainment: One area where we were quite disappointed was the lack of activities for children and evening entertainment, especially during the Easter holidays. The resort was less busy than we had expected, which may have contributed to this. In comparison, other resorts, such as Haggerston Castle, offer dedicated children’s entertainment at 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM, which is greatly appreciated by families and would have enhanced our stay. Facilities: We believe that the soft play, amusements, and pool area require significant upgrades, as they felt dated and lacked the potential to provide a more enjoyable experience. While we understand that there are times when inflatables are available in the pool, this isn’t ideal for toddlers. A separate pool area for young children would be a fantastic improvement. Service: Unfortunately, we did have an unpleasant encounter with Owen at the front desk, who was quite rude. Thankfully, his manager, Colette, was fantastic and resolved our issue regarding transport home, saving the day. Food and Pricing: The food at the café was satisfactory, though a bit bland and lacking in flavor. We also found the prices to be quite high; for example, we ordered two draft Pepsis and two fruit shoots and were charged £12, which felt excessive. Conclusion: Regrettably, the lack of food options and activities for children would deter us from returning in the future, as this is a significant factor for our family. It’s a shame because the location and the caravan itself were stunning. If we were to return, it would likely be for a romantic getaway at the Shore House at Lochgoilhead, which offers live entertainment on weekends and delicious food.

Had the best time celebrating New Year at Drimsynie, the lodge was perfect, home from home, the staff at reception Sue and Monica couldn’t be more helpful and the scenery was awesome- over looking the loch. Sad I had to leave but looking forward to going back.

A good stay but let down by a few things. Definitely the scenery is great, and the hotel really makes the most of it. It was a nice place to get away for a little while. Staff were also great and very helpful - Sue behind the desk was particularly helpful. My partner and I enjoyed getting out and about, plus the swimming pool. There was a few little things I’d like to see improved. The room was nice, but it was really hot, and the windows could only open a crack. We went to the pool, but it closed at 6, which felt quite early. We went to the restaurant and the food was great but there was TVs in there which sort of spoiled it - it sort of ruins the mood having screens everywhere. Plus it was the news that was on - not appropriate for any sort of holiday place. The pub sections were quite nice too but a bit loud (football was on) - though I’ll let that pass being a pub.

Stayed in one bed luxury lodge albatross 6 , huge lodge spotlessly clean and nice outdoor space, bathrobes and great towels are provided but for such a good lodge not many coat hooks except those at the front door. First time staying at Drimsynie lovely restaurant and bar, Sue at reception was really good she was really pleasant and helps with both check in and check out, typical unpredictable Scottish weather with heavy rain most days but sun in the afternoon, midgies were riff, beautiful area to go walking, we did the golf simulator that was a good laugh, also went to the pool sauna and steamroom, compared to the rest of the park it was a bit run down and dirty and could do with an upgrade, will defo look to come back to the park.

Site is brilliant you can be very busy with all the activities on site or you can choose to a peaceful relaxing time at your accommodation Staff are very friendly and helpful Restaurant - food is very good, staff friendly and attentive, the view from restaurant is superb

Girls trip away - stayed in Eagle Lodge 6 - Fairy Lodge. Immaculate lodge. Very spacious. All needs more than met. Sue in the reception area is very knowledgeable and kind. She was able to answer all our questions. We loved it so much that we have rebooked for next year!
