Hotel de Schelde

After a sleepless first night due to an incredibly loud noise at 01h30 and again at 02h30 (like very loud electric razor or high tension), which I luckily recorded on my cell phone and sent to the direction, I asked to change room (which happened) and for a "commercial gesture" (i.e. rebate for that first night) from the front desk, to be answered that this noise was "normal (!!!) and due to the wind drafting through the shower drain...!!!". Funny because my daughter who slept one room further down did not experience the noise...and even if it were the wind... Totally unacceptable ! I was thus billed the full price and wrote later to the direction, to be answered that as "commercial gesture", I am entitled to a room upgrade next time I come to stay.... Not going to happen, ever.

Very pleasant hotel. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious with great views. Restaurant with quality food and drinks. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only reason for not giving five stars is that (for the price) we missed a gym. And maybe a small bottle of water a day as an add on to the service. Location is great, right at the beach and natural area and lots of walking opportunities.

Second time in this hotel and we had again a good time. We slept very well, it's clean, the rooms are big enough. The breakfast is very good with various fresh products. The stuff is friendly and helpful. The only negative thing was the attic room, not enough brightness.

Amazing hotel with awesome staff, clean rooms, wonderful breakfast The location is on the corner next to the harbor and the room with sea view is out of this world. From the hotel it is very easy to drive to Breskens and all the lovely villages in between and Belgium is just around the corner.

Very nice hotel. Reception is great, very helpful. The rooms are spacious and have a nice view on the sea. Good there is an underground parking space available. The breakfast is very good, a lot of choice and nice environment. However the restaurant in the hotel is not that good, I will not book a dinner anymore. The staff is not experienced and there was a rude comment on the remarkt that the langoustines were not ok "We cannot look inside them when we cook them", they were empty ... instead of offering an alternative we just had to pay the dinner 315€ for 4 people. This is for me not acceptable.

Hotel de Schelde is wonderful. It is owned by a family, but the root of this experience lays with the father of the family. His dream was to create a luxury hotel that caters to both the individual traveler and the family vacationers. He and his wife have completely succeeded in making this dream a beautiful reality. The service is caring, professional, and absolutely gratifying. At the center of the stay is the owner's true wish to make a memorable experience for each guest. For my family of four that was certainly true. We loved Hotel de Schelde and hope to revisit at least once per year. Heartfelt thank-you to the Team at Hotel de Schelde!

Urban chic hotel with high quality design and selected furnishing. Good restaurant. Perfectly located near the beaches (most of the rooms provide sea view) and the shops and restaurants in the village. Underground parking is free! The menu in the restaurant is a bit limited. The pool opens daily only at 09:00 am.

It was a lovely luxury appar**ent in a hotel. Just at the seafront. We made great walks at the beach, went to Knokke. Between the activities we relaxed in the appar**ent with a cup of tea and played some games with the family. We prepared our own pasta at the cokking island. We enjoyed the sauna and swimmingpool on the morning and afternoon when it was a bit rainy. Thank you for tour hospitality!

We enjoyed everything about the hotel. The spacious, well equiped room, large bathroom, seperate toilet, splendid bed. Breakfast was more than excellent. A wide variety of fruits, juices, bread, meat, eggs, cheezes, panncakes and more Fine restaurant with delicious food.
