This hotel was so horrible honestly if I didn't live 2hrs away and needed to be in Grandrapids the next day for my kids appointment I would of left. The website is so deceiving. The pictures of the hotel look really nice and if you look at your room thinking that's what your getting. Don't because your wrong. The hotel is very dirty it smelled funky. The rooms are dirty also scary that the doors don't fully lock it's broke. Also it is frustrating most staff don't speak English and you have to speak into their phone for them to understand you. Which isn't their fault everyone deserves the opportunity to work but needs to be a way to translate. What really upset me is that I booked a family room which was supposed to be spacious that's not what I got. We got a very tiny room that the bathroom was smaller then my camper bathroom. After being very upset and talking to front desk for half hour she did change rooms for us. But told me several times that one don't go by the pictures on the website of rooms or the hotel it's not the same. Also unless u call and book anything you put online for accommodations won't be honored. Even though I did call morning of to double check everything. Then I was excited for the hot tub while my kids played in pool as was in website pictures guess what no longer have hot tub. Save your money!! This was a waste of $81 bad thing is apparently this was a special price.

So I loved this stay I just had. The front desk is AMAZING and very good new GM who is accommodating and very hands on. The rooms were spacious. I would give it 5 stars but my only complaint is the the kitchen staff and housekeeping are very rude and you have to ask them for everything as they do not come and ask if you need anything. I would only suggest that some new people are hired for those positions and some English speaking ones to accommodate all guest. Overall though great location, a lot of food places, mall is around the corner and theater, safe area, and the rooms are clean and fresh sheets with great management and front desk staff were all kind, friendly, and welcoming. I recommend this place.

Booked this hotel because it was the cheapest available for a tournament weekend Still paid 145 a night… and we got what we paid for. Bed was not a queen but a full and was old and broken down. The whole place smelled musty and just felt grimy and run down. Very low budget place.

When I arrived I noticed that a single window on the second floor was open. The temperature was in the mid-90s. I went to my room it was the one that had the opened window and the AC would not work. I was assigned a different room. The cleaning of the room could be better. This hotel appears to be going down hill. The management should be better. The continental breakfast could be better.

I stayed at this hotel May 9th on short notice due to a flight cancellation. I was sent to room 304 though the place was pretty empty. Across the street there was a facility with a recording that went off periodically to warn people that they were trespassers, surveillance cameras were active, they'd been video, and they should leave. This seemed to happen every time a car went by and kept me awake for hours. My gripe about this is that the hotel staff OBVIOUSLY would know about this situation, and EQUALLY OBVIOUSLY, not being very busy, ought to have given me a room as situated as much as possible to avoid the problem. Otherwise, location = nothing special, staff = ditto, breakfast = ditto.

I hate to give poor reviews but this place needs improvement. Location is good and the room was clean and comfortable. However there is basically no management or maintenance on-site. Our toilet was not working correctly and despite requesting maintenance, nothing was done over 2 days. Luckily we were across from the public restrooms and scurried across the hall to use those. And forget about breakfast! No proteins at all. Just waffles, bagels or muffins. No milk for cereal and no hot water for oatmeal...and the coffee was routinely empty. And the final insult was at check out when they double charged us after we had pre-paid. No management on-site to assist us, just young kids who were overwhelmed with complaints. We are still trying to get this resolved. It was graduation weekend and the place was full...management should be on-site! Any one issue could have been dealt with, but not all of them at once. Stay at your own risk. We won't be back.

My dad and I had been coming from Wind Lake, WI on a 5 day road trip. When we arrived there at around 7:20 pm, our rooms weren’t even cleaned yet because the housekeepers didn’t show up at all. There were 2 women working and they were VERY disorganized. After several minutes there was this African American woman who asked what my name was and asked me a few other questions that I don’t remember. Even though I was being polite, she gave me an attitude and thought I had an attitude or something. I think she was rude/crabby because the maid didn’t show up for work that day. I remember at one point in that conversation when we were sitting in the lobby she said “Ooh, I don’t think we can get you a room” in a real sarcastic kind of voice which was uncalled for but I ignored it. We waited over 40 minutes and had to keep asking for updates as nobody even bothered to automatically come over and bother to apologize or keep us informed. This part was not the hotel's fault but my dad had informed me that the Lake Express ferry ride back home from Muskegon, MI to Milwaukee, WI was booked for both of the day shifts tomorrow. This along with the rooms not even being ready got me so upset that I had to go outside the hotel to calm down in the nice roofed patio area from crying heavily. I do wish to say though the hotel’s lobby was beautiful and clean looking with a nice big flower in a vase on a coffee table. After a while the same woman came out and apologized if she sounded crabby/mean - we learned she had been there since 5 am because they were short staffed. I forgave her and from that point on she became nicer and more helpful. I explained I was also upset because of the ferry situation and she understood. Still though, our rooms after about 40 mins were not clean so we decided to come back later and eat downtown before the restaurant closed at 9 pm. By the time we got there it was about quarter to 9 pm. That restaurant stopped serving food at 8 pm. This also was not the hotel's fault but the restaurant worker’s for not being more detailed about when the kitchen was closed. We were trying to find Rumors nightclub as well and the dance floor did not open until 10 so at around 9:30 we left downtown. It was late getting back to the hotel because there was a traffic accident on the road and it was very busy. When we finally came back to the hotel at 10:27 pm, I still could not check in because I had to transfer funds to my credit card from my savings account but that only took less than 5 minutes. I could not check in until around 11:12 pm because their computer systems were having issues from last night’s storm. For some reason my dad got checked in right away, probably because he didn’t make a reservation through a third party service like I did. The nice thing was that I was told I could use the pool as long as I wanted to as long as I was quiet but since I had so much luggage organization to do I had no time.
