The Beach Shack Byron Bay

I spent a wonderful 5 nights at The Beach Shack Byron Bay hosted by the very welcoming Veronica. The bespoke complex consists of several self-contained units around the pool with landscaped gardens, which give you your own private space (mine had a small table and chairs, which was a good location to work from). The shack is as pictured. It is very well appointed with a kitchen, dining area which I also worked from, lounge and bed with TV. The bathroom was spacious. Everything was clean and well-maintained. There is also a communal kitchen from which morning snacks are delivered and access to a washing machine, dryer and racks. Veronica knows the area well and restaurant recommendations were spot on! I can't wait to go back for another restful stay.

My partner and I came to Byron for a couple of nights and the beach shack was the perfect stay for us! Great location and such a friendly welcome from our host, Veronica. Breakfast was delivered to us each morning, which we loved!! We will definitely be back!

We spent the Easter long weekend at the beach shack, and it was a wonderful experience. The location and the room were fantastic, and our host, Veronica, was amazing. It was within walking distance to both the beach and Byron town. I highly recommend staying at the beach shack!

We stayed at the Beach Shack in Byron Bay for four nights in late March and early April 2025 as part of a memorable 37 day visit to Australia. It is a small and very private property in a garden setting, just away from but within walking distance of the hustle bustle of Main Beach, the central shopping area and the challenging but wonderful Byron Bay Lighthouse Trail. Our “beach shack” was certainly more than that, a large and comfortably furnished room with a king bed and sofa, a well appointed bathroom and a great patio with table and chairs and a comfortable sofa. We loved the sounds of the birds in the morning and the occasional wildlife sighting. We also enjoyed the daily breakfast treats and appreciated the communal kitchen and laundry facilities. The Beach Shack is also within walking distance of nearby Belongil Beach across from which is the family-friendly and reasonably priced Treehouse Restaurant where we had dinner twice. All of that aside, what made our stay most memorable was the warmth and generous hospitality of Veronica, the wonderful hands-on owner of the Beach Shack. Her restaurant recommendations and reservations, sightseeing advice and positive vibes made our stay at the Beach Shack a special one. We would welcome an opportunity to stay there again and would recommend it without reservation for those seeking a tranquil retreat with easy access to Byron Bay.

Our recent trip to Byron was a huge success due to the fabulous hospitality at The Beach Shack - great rooms surrounding a lovely pool. The rooms are beautifully presented, clean and totally self-contained. It was perfect for our group of friends as we were able to interact as much or as little as we wished. Perfect location too as just a short walk to the beach and a stroll into town. The host Veronica is very welcoming and we look forward to our next visit. Highly recommend :)

A wonderful two night stay, wish it was longer. The accommodation is thoughtfully set out to make your stay comfortable. The host is welcoming and very helpful. Our cabin was well equipped and the shared kitchen is ideal if you want to stay in to eat. The Beach Shack is a couple of minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes from all that Byron Bay has to offer.
