Top experience - thanks Marc! Me and a group of friends had Sunday lunch in the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. We had recommended this venue for the celebration because of a wedding we attended back in April which was wonderful. The Sunday lunch menu had a wide choice of options. I went for the prawn and crab cocktail to start with and the roast loin of pork with crackling and all the trimmings for the main. The food was delicious and so filling that I could only manage a fruit salad for dessert. The service was first class and brought to life through Marc, who is a unique character and the perfect front of house host that all establishments would love to have on their books. Marc thinks he is French but he really is Italian! What a wonderful, memorable, fun experience Marc created for our lunch party. Thank you! What an inspiration and world class service experience you deliver! We’re looking forward to returning for a third time next month, to attend a charity night.

Our stay at this magnificent hotel was not long enough to do it justice unfortunately. The location and grounds are wonderful, peaceful and tranquil The team were excellent too, mixing professionalism, with humour and kindness. We just had a snack in the evening in a welcoming bar area (large room) a good food and drink offering supported by a very helpful and friendly team. Our room was clean, well decorated with good quality furnishings, the bed was comfortable too. The bathroom was on the small side but again clean with a deep bath and very good quality toiletries too, the towels were soft and very pleasant to use. The air conditioning in the room was excellent, we slept in fridge like conditions (our choice) as the outside night time temperature stayed high. Our breakfast was absolutely superb, my wife’s prepared pancakes were very tasty, my English breakfast freshly prepared was the best, beautifully cooked scrambled eggs, home made hash brown and delicious bacon and sausage. I’m of the brown sauce persuasion, but never has the sauce been so superbly and delightfully applied as it was this morning, by a young person (who’s name I really should have asked for) it really was the clowning glory of an excellent but far too short a stay.

We stayed here for a wedding. Rooms are lovely and have everything you need. Dressing gown, slippers, toiletries, tea and coffee area and there was water and milk in the fridge and a spectacular view.. Our visit included breakfast which was great .All the staff were professional and polite and nothing was too much trouble, we even asked for gluten free bread and they toasted it in the kitchen to prevent contamination. Thank you . We will be back for a couples break and highly recommend this place

We visited today to celebrate a 21st birthday. What a fabulous cream tea experience. The staff absolutely made it with their jovial approach. The food was delicious and the surroundings are stunning. I thoroughly recommend it for anyone looking for a great cream tea in the South East.

We went back after having our wedding reception at this hotel 30 years ago.It had exactly the same atmosphere we lived all those years ago and the ballroom and grounds as spectacular as ever.We had a lovely meal in the Orangery,served and looked after by the charismatic and very entertaining Marc Desseaux.As utxwas our Anniversary, we had a few treats along the way,and he made us feel very special.The staff were truly charming and attentive and very professional. We will be back for afternoon tea and the many events Marc arranges throughout the year.Its a very special place for us with special staff to enhance your stay.

I had the most amazing afternoon tea at Buxted Park Hotel this afternoon. Staff on duty, Rob and Vad, went over and above to ensure we had a spectacular time and nothing was too much trouble. Rob was an excellent host and his good humour was a highlight of the afternoon. As someone who enjoys afternoon tea and has sampled plenty at many hotels in the South East, I wish to send my compliments to the chef for the superb food as this is by far the best afternoon tea I have had yet. I look forward to returning!

After holding our daughter’s wedding at Buxted Park it was the obvious venue to hold her baby shower just under a year later. Buxted Park and the wonderful Marc Desseaux all go above and beyond to ensure a perfect afternoon. As there were 18 of us we hired the library which was ideal. Nothing was too much trouble and our cups and glasses were topped up constantly. The tea was huge and well worth the money. Individual boxes were provided without asking to take the excess home and enjoy later. Dietary needs were also catered for seamlessly and alternative drinks offered to those who don’t drink tea or coffee. Wish we could do it all over again

From the especially warm and friendly welcome from Andrea to the hearty fond farewell from Duncan we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. With the hotel being quiet during our stay we were fortunate to be offered a discounted upgrade to a gorgeous Suite which we made the most of. We had a very peaceful and comfortable sleep each night in the king sized bed. As you’d expect from a Hand Picked Hotel, it is beautifully presented and appointed. The vast grounds and walks are very picturesque and the staff friendly, courteous, professional and always on hand. The food, dining experience and beverages were excellent. Eating in the Orangery adds a special touch. The cocktails prepared by Vad were unsurpassed. We enjoyed the snooker room too. There is lots to see and do locally. We enjoyed a sunny day at Eastbourne, a lucky day at the races at Lingfield Park and topped off with a superb Golden Arrow dining experience onboard a steam train at the Bluebell Railway. A fabulous stay. One that will linger long in the memory.
