The room was clean but had an “old” smell. I believe it was the leftover odor of years of cigarette smoking in the room even though now it was a non-smoking room. It had new flooring, but the rest needs to be updated. The pool was clean. The breakfast was a very small selection and only offered between 7:30-9:30am. My biggest issues were that for the first day and a half, I had no hot water. I complained twice and the second time, the front desk clerk said, “I sent an email to our maintenance guy and I guess he didn’t get to it” and, “Did you leave the water running for like a half hour?…Sometimes it takes a while.” Then when I went to check out, as I needed a hard copy of my receipt, there was a note on the door stating they were out running errands and to leave the keys in the room and they would email a receipt. They did not. I then called them to ask for one and it took me about five times to explain what I wanted and four times for him to get my email correct. The good news is I finally got it. The reason I picked the location is that you can walk to the beach from there. Takes about 20 minutes.
