Let's start with the good. Within walking distance there are a couple of restaurants and a CVS. The hotel offers free bike rental as well which is a nice touch, and the lady at the front desk was very nice. Unfortunately the bad outweighs the good. The room was humid and the A/C didn't help it at all. The mini size lotion had clearly been used - there were lotion smudges on the outside of the bottle. The people above you are so loud, and you can hear the people in the room next door as well. I heard them set their keys down on the table, and full conversations, that's how easy you can hear. There wasn't any conditioner in the shower, and there were cobwebs in the kitchen over the blinds.

I stayed at this hotel on Wednesday night when I was evacuated from my home and separated from family. In addition to the stress and fear over the crisis, I am a first responder and had worked without sleep on Tuesday night. I needed shelter and a place to lay my head. I asked if there were special rates for evacuees and was told that everyone staying at the hotel was an evacuee. The rate I was charged was obscene but I paid the $289 plus taxes and fees for a room with double beds, just so I could sleep. I asked about a triple A discount and was told there was none. The door to the room had a huge gap, no weatherstripping. I didn't notice until I awoke with a soar throat and red eyes. The wind blew debris under the door and on to the carpet, not to mention the ash I breathed in. I feel so taken advantage of and it is price gauging to raise prices more than 10% during an emergency, no matter what they say about the occupancy rate. The Coast Hotel company should be ashamed and I will definitely be reporting this to the City on the L.A. County website for consumer affairs.

This hotel worked great for us! The location is great for Universal Studios, Warner Bros., and lots of food around! The room was fine, had an AC unit. Didn’t have a safe however but apart from that it was good. The front desk staff were nice and they told us about the free shuttle to and from universal Studios, just make sure you book that before the day you want to go as it does book up. The pool looked nice and they have a nice outdoor patio area to relax as well.

Small quiet hotel . Pleasantly surprised with cleaning. They came in everyday make beds and cleaned bathroom. Most hotels do not do this any longer without you having to request. Shuttle was nice but if you don't want to follow the times available you can always use Lyft or Uber. Even with 3 shuttles between 2 hotels there were times that were full. Able to walk to McDonalds, Canes and CVS saving a bit of money on expensive restaurants

Beetje een typisch Amerikaans motel zoals in de films! Echt leuke vibe! Kamers waren ruim en proper, twee bedden voor 2 personen. Douche zijn wij zo niet gewend in België, maar water was lekker warm! Parking is gratis, altijd een pluspunt. Je kan gratis fietsen huren bij dit hotel, hebben wij ook gedaan. Er is een gratis shuttle naar de Universal Studios, of je dan gaat of niet kies je zelf. Locatie is goed, maar kan nog beter naar LA toe. Je moet bus 155 (vlak voor hotel) nemen naar het busstation, en van daar uit dan een metro. Echter is de laatste bus om 21u30. Shuttle idem. Eten hebben wij hier niet gedaan. Walmart en andere fast food ketens dichtbij.
