Hotel molto comodo per visitare la splendida regione del Connemara. Eccezionale nel rapporto qualità prezzo il pacchetto per famiglie con cene comprese abbiamo mangiato benissimo ! Personale gentilissimo e molto professionale non ho dato il massimo solo perché la camera sebbene molto comoda e spaziosa per 4 , risulta forse un po’ datata negli arredi, specialmente il bagno. Comunque da consigliare!

Friendly, welcoming and efficient staff on arrival and during check-in. Great location, a 5 minute walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Room was basic but spotless. The weather was quite warm and the room was VERY hot and stuffy. There's no air conditioning. A fan was provided but it didn't make any difference. No window or fan in bathroom. Unfortunately our room wasn't serviced during our stay. I phoned reception when we returned to the room at 4pm on the second day requesting fresh towels and toilet roll. I was told the housekeeper would drop them up but disappointingly they never arrived! We went to the bar which is across the car park from reception and the drinks we were served had been watered down, we left after one and didn't return again during our stay.

We were very impressed with facilities, professional and friendly staff, location and, great size bedroom. Nice to see a hotel providing a daily newspaper also. Some have stopped doing this for some reason. Breakfast was very good and the hotel is so handy for a stroll down town. Good music across the way in the carriage house bar. Ideal stop over for Galway and very close to Kylemore Abbey.

We stayed for two nights in the two bedroom apartment We have stayed there several times before and as usual really enjoyed our stay The apartment is warm and comfy Well equipped kitchen also Large king bed and two singles Two bathrooms Really clean Nice brown bread, milk , butter and cereal in fridge on our arrival which was a nice touch Very friendly staff and super close to pubs and restaurants

Hotel very confortable and we'll located. Food in the restaurant is excellent, and the attention of the staff, specially Daren, to the guest makes the stay a special experience. The leisure centre is also very enjoyable. Hopefully, I'll be back soon

Stayed here for one week in the pet friendly apartments. Externally they are lovely they are lacking internally in lots of areas. Both bedrooms have French doors leading out onto a path that many people walk up and down by so was impossible to open them. No windows in bathrooms so apartment got very stuffy. The French door in one of the bedrooms was very badly stained. The plumbing is atrocious, the taps on the sink in the en-suite moved when you went to turn them on. The shower pressure also very poor. The tiles appear to have been put in with cement and there was cement stains on the tiles. The living/kitchen is adequate there is a dishwasher washing machine and tumble dryer, however the washing machine is placed in such a way that you can’t open the second cutlery draws unless you open the washing machine door 😔. On the Saturday night a large group seemed to have rented the apartment above us, the noise/chatting of this large group continued all night long. Thankfully they were only there for 1 night. We are in the Carriage restaurant on Saturday night and unfortunately my husband was extremely sick after the meal. Cliften is a beautiful town and the station house is well placed for visiting all the wonderful sites. This is just a review of the apartment I can’t review the accommodation in the hotel. Perhaps it is a lot better. Unfortunately we won’t be returning

Clifden Station House Hotel is highly recommended for its location, comfort, cuisine, and overall spirit of generosity, its class, and style. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, and very well equipped, but the cuisine is stand-out excellent. Haute cuisine with an Irish inflection. The deep-fried oysters alone were worthy of a Michelin star, and all of the food was carefully cooked and presented, right to the perfectly cooked vegetable accompaniments and the french fries. Just great. Warmly recommended. And not least, keep a lookout for the great special deals including dinner and a bottle of nice wine (think Loire Sauvignon Blanc). The entire team at Clifden Station House Hotel are also just great - not least Darren, and Fiona.

Excellent location with restaurants, shops, bars, and gorgeous views close by. Breakfast buffet was good and the staff were friendly and efficient. The bed was comfortable and the towels were fluffier than most places we have stayed. Please consider fluffier pillows?

What a gem this resort is. The owners , father and son were a delight to meet and get to know. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was beyond good. We loved swimming in the heated pool. The musicians in the restaurant, ( Guitarist) and lobby (piano) were really delightful and fun. We have never felt so welcomed and taken care of.
