A Disappointing Experience at Nawal Sagar Palace I recently stayed at Nawal Sagar Palace in Bundi and was thoroughly disappointed by the unprofessional and rude behavior of the manager, which overshadowed the charm of the property. Here are the key issues we faced during our stay: 1. Rude and Arrogant Manager • When we inquired about the check-out time, we were informed it was 10 AM, which is earlier than many other places. When we mentioned that late check-outs are common in cities like Jaipur, the manager arrogantly responded by saying, “In Jaisalmer, guests are kicked out as early as 6 AM.” Such remarks were uncalled for and unprofessional. 2. Unfulfilled Promises for Bonfire Arrangements • Before our arrival, we were assured that all arrangements for a bonfire would be made. However, upon reaching the property, no preparations had been done. When we approached the manager, we were told to arrange the seats and wood ourselves. To make matters worse, we were instructed to clean up after the bonfire before returning to our room. This was highly disappointing and completely against the concept of hospitality. 3. Overcharging and Poor Service • No mineral water bottles were placed in the room, which is a basic expectation. Instead, the bottles were charged separately. When we pointed out that some bottles remained unused, the manager flatly refused to take them back, stating they had already been billed. Instead of resolving the issue amicably, he handed us a challan for the payment, further adding to the inconvenience. The unprofessional attitude of the staff, particularly the manager, ***** with the poor service and unmet promises, made our stay unpleasant. While the property itself might have some charm, the management’s behavior and lack of customer service ruined the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay in Bundi.
