Bronwye

We had a short break here before Xmas and we weren't disappointed. It's in a great location near to the town centre but doesn't feel like it as it overlooks the river. Clean, comfortable accommodation and the hosts, Sian and Eifion, are just lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. Great choices for breakfast - I can recommend the porridge - all delicious. Very well situated for exploring Mid Wales. Thoroughly recommend this lovely Guest House.

We had a lovely stay at the Bronwye Guest House. The Bronwye is by the beautiful Groe and Wye River. The location is delightful, as are the hosts. Breakfast is excellent. What a lovely guesthouse!! Prebooking comms were superb and welcome friendly and warm. Rooms were lovely and with two of us travelling on business, we were given two rooms with a separate door onto the corridor, so could prop both internal bedroom doors open to move freely between the two as needed. Tony and Sandra really have thought of everything, down to earplugs, hair turbans and cookies and sweets. Beds were very comfy. They very kindly accommodated an early breakfast for us (which was superb) and this was much appreciated before a long day at a work conference. Parking was fine, even for a van and the directions were easy to follow with the guesthouse nicely situated just off the main car park, playing field and playpark. No suggestions for improvements here as Tony and Sandra are lovely, experienced hosts. We just wish we didn’t have to travel home that evening as we wanted to stay an extra night! We will be returning!

Absolutely wonderful place - comfy beds nicely appointed rooms, exceptionally clean and homely. The hosts were fabulous nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was really yummy. Cannot recommend the place enough it was so nice and will definitely be returning - thank you for a great stay.

We received a warm welcome on arrival. The double room was clean and warm with an en-suite bathroom. The guest house is located conveniently close to the town centre and there is off road parking to the rear. Breakfast was cooked to order and good. Recommended.

Well I would rate this as one of the best places I have stayed at in many years of private and business travel all over the world. Tony and Sandra are the hosts with the mostest!! Once he has cooked breakfast and starts chatting, Tony is a font of information on local sites and areas to suit your requirements. Unfortunately they are leaving due to being needed for family issues elsewhere. However I do hope the new owners carry on in the same way. They are Welsh so must be good!! If so, we'll be back.
