It was the worst hotel I have ever tried. No parking but they advertised that they have. The brunch was in other places out from the building in 400-1300 meters. Very very small room and without any wardrobe. Tv couldn’t work with our Netflix.

This is not a hotel accommodation. It's a rental of individual rooms in an apartment building. On the same floor, there's a small reception desk operating from 8 AM to 8 PM. The reception staff will help you check in, solve basic problems, answer questions, provide a Budapest map, etc... You'll also receive a room key card and numerical codes to open the main doors of the apartment complex and garages. The staff is helpful, pleasant, and speaks English. The rooms are relatively small but clean and modern. We didn't experience any problems with opening doors that were mentioned in another review. Everything in the rooms works: WiFi, kettle, coffee maker, etc... You cannot cook meals in the room as there are no plates or cutlery. The mattresses are quite firm, which suited me very well. The Magazine Rooms is close to the metro and other public transportation. Our windows faced the street. There's a restaurant right below the window - understandably quite noisy during the weekend. However, the windows are well insulated, and when we closed them, we could sleep peacefully. The only problem was parking. Although The Magazine Rooms advertises parking, the number of parking spaces is very limited. Therefore, we had to look for parking outside. We were lucky (actually twice): we found a parking spot right in the next street; and on weekends, you don't need to pay for public parking.

Key card never worked. Staff always had to open the door to the room. As a result, we got locked out of the room when staff were not at the front desk. We tried the emergency number and no one picked up. Hotel refused to give a refund and staff were not friendly. In addition, the room was very small. The shower door couldn't be closed all the way causing the bathroom to flood. Could hear noise from the room above. Do not recommend.

Good value hotel in the city centre in a nice vibrant area that felt safe after dark. Room although facing a side street was quite quiet. The room was very clean and there was an excellent powerful shower in the well equipped en-suite bathroom. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and it was easy to access building using a key code. Only minor negative was when the room was cleaned, on two occasions, the coffee and/or milk was not replaced. Would happily stay again.

It was OK for an overnight stay, was looking forward to a swim but it doesn’t open until after breakfast. I arrived relatively late and had to follow instructions by email due to no staff on desk, then left before 8am, still no staff on the desk.
