Nice location and staff food menu limited at time of stay, water leak through bathroom celling fan was not offered an alternative room on a 2 night stay, I would stay here again.

Exactly what we needed after a day on Dar**oor. Friendly welcome, great service and food. Took the Dart room, wonderful panoramic view of the (very, very high!) River Dart beneath the window. Quaint, cozy and warm. We will stay again.

Very clean stayed in small room breakfast very good staff polite and helpful only negative they were not serving food in restaurant but did suggest a restaurant a short walk away for evening meal .

Warm and clean, adequate for one night.
I paid extra for breakfast, but was told breakfast does not start until 8:30am and I had to leave the hotel at 7:30am. I was told this is ok as cereals and juice etc (cold breakfast) is laid out the night before and will be available for me to help myself before I leave. Unfortunately when I left the property the door to the hotel/bar/pub eating area where breakfast is served was locked.
So paying for breakfast was a waste of money! Not great service....

Absolutely great stay at the Abbey Inn really comfortable and so peaceful and quiet and the staff are just delightful so friendly and welcoming and really make your stay that extra special.

Great Breakfast: full English freshly cooked included in the reasonable room rate.

Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and tidy and bed was comfortable. The shower room was small but perfect for what we needed. The hotel wasn’t serving food during our stay but did serve a hot breakfast which was delicious. Would stay here again

My wife and I were looking for somewhere to stay near Ashburton because we didn't want to drive back to west Cornwall in the dark after a meeting we were attending. We also didn't want to spend too much on our room. The Abbey Inn fitted perfectly AND INCLUDED FREE BREAKFAST as well.
The staff were most welcoming and helpful and it was a real pleasure to stay in such a lovely location, with the sound of the river rushing by. I am sure that in the summer it would be even more beautiful, sitting on the decking enjoying an evening drink.
Checking in was really easy. The room was perfectly acceptable, despite having chosen the smallest double room. The bed was really comfortable.
