B&B the Butchers Wife

The hotel has sent us an email cancelling our reservation due to a supposed technical error. When we called to explain that we had received the cancellation we were told that it was not their problem as it was a website site issue! Somehow they have nothing to do with their own website, very odd considering it’s exactly where we made the booking, opting not to go via ***********. The staff member on the phone was extremely rude and unhelpful explaining we should book somewhere else as it was not his problem, he eventually just slammed the phone down. Having made the booking on the 20th of July we received the cancellation on the 28th of August. Prices in Bruges have now significantly increased for our dates. The honourable thing to do would have been to offer another room irrespective of price and size. Clearly this hotel does not live in fear of poor customer service and bad reviews. I’ve rarely seen such shameful service.

J'aurai aimé donner un avis sur l'ensemble des prestations malheureusement. Je n'ai pas pu me rendre en week end. J'ai tout de suite prévenu (vendredi matin) et même si je ne m'attendais pas à un remboursement total un geste aurait été apprécié. Par exemple ne pas facturer le petit déjeuner. Je suppose que pour un repas prévu le dimanche il n'avait pas été acheté tôt le vendredi. Bref pas de réponse du gérant. Je pense que c'est uniquement l'argent qui les intéresse ....

Als b&b verwacht je toch een warm ontvangst van gastheer of gastvrouw Alles verliep van op afstand Bij aankomst was de kamer nog niet gepoetst en was al 14.45 u we mochten erin vanaf 15 u ?? De poetsvrouw (van firma) kwam aan en de kamer was uiteindelijk pas om 15.45 u klaar!! De volgende ochtend moesten we opzoek naar ontbijt in de b&b (we sliepen op gelijkvloers)
