We booked 2 rooms last minute and the price was excellent. So good that we wondered what the rooms would actually be like. We needn't have worried because the rooms were excellent. The decor is so good. The burned brass fittings, the attention to detail, the amenities.....so good!!! The attention to detail to make the guest comfortable was impressive for a 3 star hotel. The bed is super comfy and the pillows were so good we reached out to the hotel to ask where they bought them. Super clean and great location. I honestly highly recommend this property.

Stayed overnight in room 6 downstairs. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately when the place was renovated, soundproofing wasn't part of the deal. You will hear a cacophony of slamming doors as people come and go. The door closers are set to slam very hard ! Another tip is to not leave any clothing on the floor in the bathroom when showering as the water seems to run a bit beyond what is intended - at least in room 6. I'm not a fan of 6 digit plus a special character pin code to memorize and punch to access the room each time. Banks can survive on 4 digit pins so I'm not sure why the Isla make it so tedious?

Would have been good if this had been cleaned properly before I checked in. There was a long black hair I found in my bed. The pillows smelt sweaty and dank. Annoying there are no staff on site. Also annoying how far this is from the main part of Batemans. We booked thinking it was much closer. We won't be back...very disappointing for the price

Have stayed in a lot of places over the years and this is up there with the most disappointing. There is no staff onsite which is annoying if you need something. Location is out of the way and quite a way form the main part of Batemans Bay. I didn't think the room had been cleaned very well before I checked in. Really disappointed for what I paid.

Booked this place for a night away with hubby and we found it quite noisy. Bathroom and floor were not cleaned properly. Frustrating that there is no one on premises to complain too so ended up just dealing with it. Vending machine options are overpriced. I won't be going back.

Stayed here with the kids during the Jan school hols. Cleanliness was not as it seemed with some sort of gooey slimey stuff on the side of the main table. Lucky I saw it and wiped it away before my youngens touched it. It looked pretty gross. I realise it was school holidays but compared to other options, this place is way overpriced. Also really frustrating there are no shower curtains or doors. Much better and cleaner options.

Spent the night listening to my neighbour coughing all night. Walls are super thin and it's you can hear the hum of conversations either side. Found bathroom and kitchenette area not up to a clean standard. Found the whole thing a bit impersonal having no reception staff. More like an airbnb than a hotel. Can not recommend...oh, forgot to mention, WAY over priced for what it is.

Looks flash but on closer inspection it was a bit grubby..a spoon that had food remnants and there was hair on shower floor. Also, how are you meant to keep the bathroom floor from getting wet when there is nothing to stop the water from spraying out all over the floor? The water even made it's way out to the living area. They could also do with some block out shades or something. Even with the curtains closed fully, there was quite a bit of light getting through...so BEWARE those wanting a sleep in...or bring your eye mask. Very over rated and over priced. Much better options around

I loved this place. The room was fresh and clean, the check-in process was digital and very efficient. The exterior looks like a modern and well maintained motel (with parking next to the ground floor rooms), but the room was by far hotel-quality. I loved the scent of the soap and shampoo, which seemed to be of high quality. The only thing I didn't really like was that the auto-generated communication (by e-mail) was sent in my mother tongue, probably based on country-of-residence in my booking. This may be a nice feature for some, but shouldn't be default.
